"Find me cards equivalent to: An Unearthly Child"

Similar cards to An Unearthly Child (Enchantment — Saga, blue, searches for specific card types):
1. Search for Azcanta – Blue enchantment, lets you filter and find noncreature, nonland cards.
2. Oath of Jace – Blue enchantment, draws and discards cards, enabling deck filtering.
3. Narset, Parter of Veils – Blue planeswalker, + filtering ability (not a Saga, but similar effect finding noncreature, nonland).
4. Mystic Remora – Blue enchantment, draws cards based on opponents' spells—another efficient enchantment for drawing/filtering.

Reason: Few blue Sagas exist in MTG; these cards mimic the filtering/search-draw effect as closely as possible.

  • Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability that imposes an increasing cost on a permanent. "Cumulative upkeep [cost]" means "At the beginning of your upkeep, if this permanent is on the battlefield, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay [cost] for each age counter on it. If you don't, sacrifice it."
  • Paying cumulative upkeep is always optional. If it's not paid, the permanent with cumulative upkeep is sacrificed. Partial payments of the total cumulative upkeep cost can't be made. For example, if Mystic Remora has three age counters on it when its cumulative upkeep ability triggers, it gets another age counter and then its controller chooses to either pay {4} or sacrifice it.

  • If an opponent hasn't drawn any cards in a turn and a spell or ability instructs that player to draw multiple cards, that player will just draw one card. However, if the draws are optional, the player can't choose to draw, even if they could draw one card this way.
  • Narset will "see" cards drawn by opponents earlier in the turn she entered the battlefield, although Narset can't affect cards drawn before she entered the battlefield. For example, if an opponent draws two cards, then Narset enters the battlefield, that opponent can't draw more cards that turn, but the two drawn cards are unaffected.
  • Replacement effects (such as that of Underrealm Lich or the first ability of Jace, Wielder of Mysteries) can't be used to replace draws that Narset disallows. However, if an opponent's first draw is replaced (by Underrealm Lich's ability, for example), that draw didn't happen and Narset won't stop the next draw (which may also be replaced by Underrealm Lich's ability).
  • Your opponents can each draw a maximum of one card each on each player's turn. Subsequent card draws during that turn are ignored.

  • Each of the Oaths is legendary: if you control more than one of any particular Oath, you choose one to remain on the battlefield and the others are put into your graveyard.
  • Even if you control a particular Oath, you can cast another of that Oath to take advantage of its enters-the-battlefield ability. It will enter the battlefield, causing its first ability to trigger. You will then choose one to keep, as detailed above, and then its enters-the-battlefield ability will resolve.
  • If you control no planeswalkers as the last ability resolves, you won’t scry at all. Abilities that trigger whenever you scry won’t trigger.
  • The “legend rule” checks the full names of legendary permanents. You can control Oath of Gideon and Oath of Chandra at the same time, for example.
