"Find me cards equivalent to: Buried Ruin"

Cards similar to Buried Ruin (colorless lands that return artifacts from your graveyard) include:
1. Academy Ruins

Reason: It is a land, taps for {C}, and returns artifacts from graveyard to the top of your library.
2. Hostile Desert

Reason: Colorless land with an activated ability involving graveyards (different effect, but grave interaction).
3. Sanctum of Eternity

Reason: Colorless land with a recursion effect (returns commander, not artifact, but close in type).

Closest direct equivalent is Academy Ruins, but note it puts on top of your library, not hand. There are very few lands that exactly replicate Buried Ruin’s effect.

  • Desert is a land subtype with no special meaning. It doesn't grant the land an intrinsic mana ability. Other cards may care about which lands are Deserts.
  • If Hostile Desert becomes a creature the same turn it enters the battlefield, you can't attack with it or tap it for mana.

  • If your commander isn’t on the battlefield (or if you’re not playing the Commander variant), Sanctum of Eternity’s second ability does nothing.
  • The “commander tax” increases based on how many times a commander was cast from the command zone. Casting a commander from your hand doesn’t require that additional cost, and it doesn’t increase what the cost will be the next time you cast that commander from the command zone.
