"Find me cards equivalent to: Excavation Explosion"

Other red sorceries that deal 3 damage to any target:

  • Lightning Strike – 3 damage to any target, instant, but no token.
  • Open Fire – 3 damage to any target, instant.
  • Play with Fire – 2 damage to any target, instant, scry
    1.

Excavation Explosion is unique for creating a Powerstone token; none of the direct equivalents generate a token or ramp. Closest is Create with Powerstone Shard, but it's not red and not direct damage. So, you’ll find damage, but not the same ramp/token bonus in mono-red.

    Rules

  • Although all the cards in The Brothers' War that create Powerstone tokens create a tapped Powerstone token, entering the battlefield tapped isn't part of the token's definition. Notably, if you create a token that is a copy of a Powerstone token, the token copy won't enter the battlefield tapped.
  • Powerstone tokens are a kind of predefined token. Each one has the artifact subtype "Powerstone" and the ability "{T}: Add {C}. This mana can't be spent to cast a nonartifact spell."
  • You can use the {C} added by a Powerstone token on anything that isn't a nonartifact spell. This includes paying costs to activate abilities of both artifact and nonartifact permanents, paying ward costs, and so on.

Play with Fire deals 2 damage to any target. If a player is dealt damage this way, scry 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put that card on the bottom.)
