"Find me cards equivalent to: Killer"

Equivalent cards in red (R), Sorcery, that deal damage to a creature and those sharing its type:

  • Killer (your reference)
  • Extinction Event (Black, for reference, but you want Red. This is closest outside red.)
  • Crush the Weak - Deals 2 to each creature, not just type, but closest in red.
  • Electrickery - Deals 1 to each creature of choice; instant, weaker and not type-specific.

Closest functional options in mono-red:
No exact red sorcery besides Killer does 3 to a creature and all of its type, but Crush the Weak and Electrickery are the nearest in effect; both mass damage, but not type-targeted. This effect is unique in red to Killer.

    Foretell

    Rules

  • Because exiling a card with foretell from your hand is a special action, you can do so any time you have priority during your turn, including in response to spells and abilities. Once you announce you’re taking the action, no other player can respond by trying to remove the card from your hand.
  • Casting a foretold card from exile follows the timing rules for that card. If you foretell an instant card, you can cast it as soon as the next player’s turn. In most cases, if you foretell a card that isn’t an instant (or doesn’t have flash), you’ll have to wait until your next turn to cast it.
  • Creatures don’t necessarily have to be dealt lethal damage by Crush the Weak to be exiled. After being dealt damage, if they would die for any reason that turn, they’ll be exiled instead.
  • If you’re casting a foretold card from exile for its foretell cost, you can’t choose to cast it for any other alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, those must be paid to cast the spell.

Crush the Weak deals 2 damage to each creature. If a creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead. Foretell (During your turn, you may pay and exile this card from your hand face down. Cast it on a later turn for its foretell cost.)

    Overload

    Rules

  • Because a spell with overload doesn't target when its overload cost is paid, it may affect permanents with hexproof or with protection from the appropriate color.
  • If you are instructed to cast a spell with overload "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to pay its overload cost instead.
  • If you don't pay the overload cost of a spell with overload, that spell will have a single target. If you pay the overload cost, the spell won't have any targets.
  • Note that if the spell with overload is dealing damage, protection from that spell's color will still prevent that damage.
  • To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you're paying (such as an overload cost), add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The mana value of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
