"Find me cards equivalent to: Nether Void"

Equivalent cards (Black, enchantment, tax/counter effect) to Nether Void include:
1. Arcane Laboratory (Blue, similar effect, not black)
2. Choke Point (No direct black equivalents; closest function is Oppression—forces discard on spells, not counter/tax.)

Reason: Nether Void is unique; no black world enchantment directly replaces its effect. Closest black enchantments like Oppression hinder spellcasting but don’t tax/counter spells the same way.

  • If a spell is countered, it still counts as the one spell cast.
  • When Arcane Laboratory enters, it will look back over the turn to see if any spell was cast before it entered the battlefield. It will notice itself being cast.
  • When it leaves the battlefield, the effect ends and all players are able to cast spells unrestricted again.

  • This is not an additional cost, it is a triggered ability.
  • This has the supertype world. When a world permanent enters, any world permanents that were already on the battlefield are put into their owners' graveyards. This is a state-based action called the "world rule." The new world permanent stays on the battlefield. If two world permanents enter at the same time, they're both put into their owners' graveyards.
  • The ability triggers whenever any player (including you) casts a spell of any type.
