"Find me cards equivalent to: Reject"

Cards equivalent to Reject (Instant, Blue, conditional counter for creatures/planeswalkers, with exile if countered):
1. Essence Scatter — Counters only creature spells, straight-up counter, no exile.
2. Stubborn Denial — Counters noncreature spells unless its controller pays {1}; doesn't exile.
3. Cerulean Wisps — Not equivalent, just blue instant.
4. Lofty Denial — Counters unless opponent pays {4} if you control a flyer, but not exile.
5. Miscast — Counters instant or sorcery unless {3} paid.
6. Closest: Summary Dismissal — Exiles all spells and abilities on stack (not just creatures/planeswalkers, but higher cost).

Conclusion: No exact blue instant matches all parts of Reject, but Summary Dismissal comes closest for exile. Essence Scatter is closest for pure creature counter. Reject is unique for its partial counter and exile for creature/planeswalker spells.

  • An effect that changes a permanent’s colors overwrites all its old colors unless it specifically says “in addition to its other colors.” For example, after Cerulean Wisps resolves, the affected creature will just be blue. It doesn’t matter what colors it used to be (even if, for example, it used to be blue and black).
  • Changing a permanent’s color won’t change its text. If you turn Wilt-Leaf Liege blue, it will still affect green creatures and white creatures.
  • Colorless is not a color.
