"Find me cards equivalent to: Solid Ground"

Equivalent cards (green enchantments, similar effect to “Solid Ground”):

  • Solid Ground (your original card)
  • Hardened Scales — Enchantment; if one or more +1/+1 counters would be placed on a creature you control, put that many plus one instead.
  • Invigorating Surge (not an enchantment but relevant: instant that adds extra counters)
  • Winding Constrictor (green, creature, also gives extra +1/+1 counters)
  • Pir, Imaginative Rascal (green, legendary creature, same counter-doubling effect as Solid Ground)

Reason: These cards increase the number of +1/+1 counters placed, just like Solid Ground. Only “Hardened Scales” is an enchantment with the closest effect. No green standard enchantment turns lands into creatures with +1/+1 counters in the same way as your custom earthbend ability.

    Double

    Rules

  • To double the number of +1/+1 counters on a creature, put a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the number it already has. Other cards that interact with putting counters on it will interact with this effect accordingly.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Partner

    Rules

  • "Partner with [name]" represents two abilities. The first is a triggered ability: "When this permanent enters the battlefield, target player may search their library for a card named [name], reveal it, put it into their hand, then shuffle their library."
  • An effect that checks whether you control your commander is satisfied if you control one or both of your two commanders.
  • Both commanders start in the command zone, and the remaining 98 cards of your deck are shuffled to become your library.
  • If a permanent your team controls would enter the battlefield with one or more counters of any kind on it, it enters with that many plus one instead.
  • If an effect includes multiple instructions to put one or more counters on a permanent, such as Lifecrafter's Gift does, Pir's effect applies to each of those instructions.
  • If your Commander deck has two commanders, you can only include cards whose own color identities are also found in your commanders' combined color identities. If Khorvath and Sylvia are your commanders, your deck may contain cards with red and/or white in their color identity, but not blue, black, or green.
  • Note that the target player searches their library (which may be affected by effects such as that of Stranglehold) and that the card they find is revealed, even though these words aren't included in the ability's reminder text.
  • Once the game begins, your two commanders are tracked separately. If you cast one, you won't have to pay an additional {2} the first time you cast the other. A player loses the game after having been dealt 21 damage from one of them, not from both of them combined. Command Beacon's effect puts one into your hand from the command zone, not both.
  • Pir's effect can't apply to itself as it's entering the battlefield or to any other permanent entering the battlefield at the same time as it.
  • The second ability represented by the "partner with [name]" keyword modifies the rules for deck construction in the Commander variant and has no function outside of that variant. If a legendary creature card with "partner with [name]" is designated as your commander, the named legendary creature card can also be designated as your commander. For more information on the Commander variant, please visit Wizards.com/Commander.
  • The triggered ability of the "partner with" keyword still triggers in a Commander game. If your other commander has somehow ended up in your library, you can find it. You can also target another player who might have that card in their library.
  • To have two commanders, both must have the partner ability (featured in the Magic: The Gathering—Commander™ (2016 Edition) set) or corresponding "partner with" abilities as the game begins. A creature with a "partner with" ability can't partner with any creature other than its designated partner. Losing a partner ability during the game doesn't cause either to cease to be your commander.

    Earthbend

    Rules

  • "Earthbend N" means "Target land you control becomes a 0/0 land creature with haste in addition to its other types. Put N +1/+1 counters on it. When it dies or is exiled, return it to the battlefield tapped under your control."
  • Earthbend doesn't give the land you control a color. As most lands are colorless, in most cases the resulting land creature will also be colorless.
  • If a land was animated by earthbend and would go to any zone other than the graveyard or exile, it will not be returned to the battlefield by the delayed triggered ability created by earthbend.
  • If a permanent you control would enter with a number of +1/+1 counters on it, it enters with that many plus one instead.
  • If the targeted land becomes an illegal target before the spell or ability that includes earthbend resolves, earthbend does nothing. If the spell or ability didn't have other targets, it won't resolve.
  • If two or more effects attempt to modify how many counters would be put on a permanent you control, you choose the order to apply those effects, no matter who controls the sources of those effects.
  • If you control multiple copies of Solid Ground, they each increase the number of +1/+1 counters put on a permanent you control by one.
  • The land will retain any other types, subtypes, or supertypes it previously had. It will also retain any mana abilities it had as a result of those subtypes. For example, a Forest that's turned into a creature this way can still be tapped for {G}.
  • You may target a land that is already a creature, perhaps because of a previous earthbend ability. The land will get the +1/+1 counters, gain haste, and have its base power and toughness set to 0/0.

  • If an artifact or creature you control would enter the battlefield with a number of any kind of counters on it, it enters with that many plus one instead.
  • If an effect includes multiple instructions to put one or more counters on an artifact or creature, such as Lifecrafter's Gift does, Winding Constrictor's effect applies to each of those instructions.
  • If you control two Winding Constrictors, the number of counters placed on the artifact or creature is the original number plus two. Three Winding Constrictors adds three to the original number, and so on.
  • If you would get counters of multiple kinds at the same time, Winding Constrictor increases the number of each of those kinds of counters by one. The same is true if counters of multiple kinds would be placed on an artifact or creature you control.
  • Winding Constrictor's effect can't apply to itself as it's entering the battlefield or to any other permanent entering the battlefield at the same time as it.
  • If a nonartifact, noncreature permanent (such as a planeswalker) would enter the battlefield with counters on it and become an artifact or a creature on the battlefield due to another card's effect (such as that of Mycosynth Lattice), Winding Constrictor's effect will give that permanent another of those counters.
