"Find me cards equivalent to: Sphinx of Uthuun"

Equivalent cards to Sphinx of Uthuun in mono-blue (color='U') with similar type or effect:
1. Fact or Fiction (instant, same card selection ability but not a creature)
2. Sea Gate Oracle (ETB card selection, less powerful)
3. Chancellor of the Spires (big blue sphinx, powerful ETB effect but different)
4. Sphinx of Foresight (Sphinx, ETB not as strong, but has library manipulation)
5. Aminatou's Augury (spell, but similar effect regarding library piles, but not on a Sphinx)

Closest: Sphinx of Uthuun is unique, but Fact or Fiction is the most similar effect-wise. No other blue Sphinx does exactly this.

  • Casting an exiled card causes it to leave exile. You can't cast it multiple times.
  • If a nonland card has multiple types, such as an artifact creature, you may cast it as either of those types. For example, you could cast one artifact creature as your artifact card and another artifact creature as your creature card.
  • If a spell has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs, such as evoke costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, such as that of Tormenting Voice, those must be paid to cast the card.
  • If you exile a land with another card type, you can't play it later in the turn. You can only put it onto the battlefield at the time Aminatou's Augury instructs you to.
  • If you wish to put a land card onto the battlefield, you do so while Aminatou's Augury is resolving, before you're allowed to cast any of the other cards. You may do this even if you've already played a land this turn.
  • You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions of each spell you cast.

    Flying Mill

    Rules

  • If the card has any mandatory additional costs, then you must pay them in order to cast the spell.
  • If you are unable to cast the card, perhaps because there are no legal targets available, the card remains in its owner's graveyard.
  • If you reveal more than one Chancellor of the Spires from your opening hand, each opponent will put the top seven cards of their library into their graveyard that many times (for a total of fourteen, twenty-one, or twenty-eight cards).
  • The instant or sorcery card you target with the "enters" triggered ability is cast as part of the resolution of that ability. Timing restrictions based on the card's type are ignored. Other restrictions, such as "Cast [this card] only during combat," are not.
  • You may pay additional costs, such as kicker costs, of the instant or sorcery card.
  • A player's "opening hand" is the hand of cards the player has after all players have taken mulligans. If players have any cards in hand that allow actions to be taken with them from a player's opening hand, the starting player takes all such actions first in any order, followed by each other player in turn order. Then the first turn begins.

    Rules

  • A pile can have no cards in it. In this case, you'll choose whether to put all the revealed cards into your hand or into your graveyard.
  • In multiplayer games, you choose an opponent to separate the cards when the ability resolves. This doesn't target that opponent. Because the cards are revealed, all players may see the cards and offer opinions.
  • You (not your opponent) choose which pile to put into your hand and which to put into your graveyard.
