"Find me cards equivalent to: The Tale of Tamiyo"

Equivalent cards to The Tale of Tamiyo (blue, Legendary Enchantment — Saga):
1. The Mirari Conjecture — Blue Saga, similar graveyard recursion for instants/sorceries.
2. Kiora Bests the Sea God — Blue Saga, high impact effects but different abilities.
3. The Flood of Magic (not a Saga, but similar in casting spells from graveyard in blue).

Reason: While none match The Tale of Tamiyo exactly, these are blue Sagas (or blue cards) involving recursion, milling, or spell copying/recursion. The Tale of Tamiyo remains unique in combining all listed effects.

  • A chapter ability doesn’t trigger if a lore counter is put on a Saga that already had a number of lore counters greater than or equal to that chapter’s number. For example, the third lore counter put on a Saga causes the III chapter ability to trigger, but I and II won’t trigger again.
  • Any nonland permanents that come under the target player’s control after the second chapter ability resolves will untap as normal.
  • As a Saga enters the battlefield, its controller puts a lore counter on it. As your precombat main phase begins (immediately after your draw step), you put another lore counter on each Saga you control. Putting a lore counter on a Saga in either of these ways doesn’t use the stack.
  • Each symbol on the left of a Saga’s text box represents a chapter ability. A chapter ability is a triggered ability that triggers when a lore counter that is put on the Saga causes the number of lore counters on the Saga to become equal to or greater than the ability’s chapter number. Chapter abilities are put onto the stack and may be responded to.
  • If multiple chapter abilities trigger at the same time, their controller puts them on the stack in any order. If any of them require targets, those targets are chosen as you put the abilities on the stack, before any of those abilities resolve.
  • Nonland permanents target opponent controls that are already tapped when the second chapter ability resolves won’t be tapped again, but they won’t untap during their controller’s next untap step.
  • Once a chapter ability has triggered, the ability on the stack won’t be affected if the Saga gains or loses counters, or if it leaves the battlefield.
  • Once the number of lore counters on a Saga is greater than or equal to the greatest number among its chapter abilities, the Saga’s controller sacrifices it as soon as its chapter ability has left the stack, most likely by resolving or being countered. This state-based action doesn’t use the stack.
  • Removing lore counters won’t cause a previous chapter ability to trigger. If lore counters are removed from a Saga, the appropriate chapter abilities will trigger again when the Saga receives lore counters.
  • The control-change effect of the third chapter ability lasts indefinitely. It doesn’t wear off during the cleanup step. In a multiplayer game, it does expire if you leave the game.
  • The second chapter ability keeps the permanents tapped even if Kiora Bests the Sea God leaves the battlefield before that player’s next untap step.
  • The second chapter ability targets the player but not their permanents. Permanents with hexproof may be tapped this way.

  • If the spell has damage divided as it was cast (like Fight with Fire does when kicked), the division can’t be changed (although the targets receiving that damage still can).
  • If the spell that’s copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Jaya’s Immolating Inferno does), the copy will have the same value of X.
  • If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. A different mode can’t be chosen.
  • Once a chapter ability has triggered, the ability on the stack won’t be affected if the Saga gains or loses counters, or if it leaves the battlefield.
  • Once the number of lore counters on a Saga is greater than or equal to the greatest number among its chapter abilities—in the Dominaria set, this is always three—the Saga’s controller sacrifices it as soon as its chapter ability has left the stack, most likely by resolving or being countered. This state-based action doesn’t use the stack.
  • The Mirari Conjecture’s final chapter ability copies any instant or sorcery spell you cast, not just those with targets.
  • The controller of a copy can’t choose to pay any alternative or additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any alternative or additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy.
  • The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).

  • Because you're paying the spells' costs, if one of the copied spells has {X} in its mana cost, you may choose its value as normal.
  • If you don't want to cast some (or all) of the copies, you may choose not to. Any copies that you didn't cast cease to exist the next time state-based actions are checked.
  • The card types in Magic include artifact, battle, creature, enchantment, instant, kindred, land, planeswalker, and sorcery. Legendary, basic, and snow are supertypes, not card types; Horror and Room are subtypes, not card types.
  • When the first, second, or third chapter ability of The Tale of Tamiyo resolves, the ability will continue until you mill a set of two cards that share no card types or you mill one or fewer cards. You can't just pause the story whenever you want to. (And why would you? It's quite the story.)
  • You cast the copies while the last chapter ability of The Tale of Tamiyo is resolving and still on the stack. You can't wait to cast them later in the turn.
