AI 🤖 Find me cards equivalent to: Conspicuous Snoop

Equivalent cards to Conspicuous Snoop (red, goblin, top-of-library playability):
1. Augur of Bolas (blue, creature, top card interaction, but not goblin or red)
2. Vizier of the Menagerie (green, creatures from top of library)
3. Realmwalker (green, choose type, cast type from top)
4. Experimental Frenzy (red, play cards from top of your library)

Closest in color and effect: Experimental Frenzy (lets you play cards from the top of your library, but not limited to goblins).

  • If there are fewer than three cards in your library when Augur of Bolas's ability resolves, you'll look at the remaining cards. This won't cause you to lose the game as you haven't drawn from an empty library.
  • You don't reveal the other two cards, nor do you reveal their order on the bottom of the library.

    Rules

  • Activated abilities contain a colon. They're generally written “[Cost]: [Effect].” Some keyword abilities are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text.
  • If Conspicuous Snoop gains a set of linked activated abilities (for example, one ability that exiles a card and another that refers to the card “exiled with” the object), that link only lasts as long as Conspicuous Snoop has those abilities. If it loses the abilities and then regains them, the link is lost.
  • If an activated ability of Goblin card on top of your library references the card it's printed on by name, treat Conspicuous Snoop's instance of that ability as though it referenced Conspicuous Snoop by name instead. For instance, if Conspicuous Snoop has Brash Taunter's ability, Conspicuous Snoop fights, not Brash Taunter.
  • If the top card of your library changes while you're casting a spell, playing a land, or activating an ability, you don't reveal the new top card until you finish doing so. This means that if you cast the top card of your library, you can't look at the next one until you're done paying for that spell. While the top card isn't revealed, Conspicuous Snoop doesn't have any abilities of that card.
  • You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions of the Goblin spells you cast from your library.
  • You still pay all costs for a Goblin spell you cast from your library, including additional costs. You may also pay alternative costs.

  • Experimental Frenzy lets you look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction—see below), even if you don’t have priority. This action doesn’t use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand.
  • If the top card of your library changes while you’re casting a spell, playing a land, or activating an ability, you can’t look at the new top card until you finish doing so. This means that if you cast the top card of your library, you can’t look at the next one until you’re done paying for that spell.
  • You can play a land card on top of your library only if you have available land plays remaining.
  • You can’t cast spells or play lands from your hand, but you may take other actions with those cards (such as discarding them to activate their cycling or bloodrush abilities).
  • You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions of the cards you play from your library.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Changeling

    Rules

  • Changeling is a characteristic-defining ability. It functions in all zones, not only while a card that has it is on the battlefield.
  • If Realmwalker is somehow on the battlefield with no choice having been made for it, you may still look at the top card of your library any time. You won't be able to cast any creature spells from the top of your library, even if they have no creature types.
  • If an effect causes a creature with changeling to become a new creature type, it will be only that new creature type. It will still have changeling; the effect making it all creature types will simply be overwritten.
  • If an effect causes a creature with changeling to lose all abilities, it will remain all creature types, even though it will no longer have changeling. This is because changeling applies before the effect that removes it.
  • If the top card of your library changes while you're casting a spell, playing a land, or activating an ability, you can't look at the new top card until you finish doing so. This means that if you cast a spell from the top of your library, you can't look at the next one until you're done paying for that spell.
  • Realmwalker doesn't change when you can cast creature spells. Normally, this means during your main phase when the stack is empty, although flash may change this.
  • The subtype Shapeshifter that appears on the type line is mostly there to reinforce the flavor. A creature card with changeling is just as much an Elf, a Dwarf, a Sliver, a Goat, a Coward, and a Zombie as it is a Shapeshifter.
  • The top card of your library isn't in your hand, so you can't foretell it, discard it, or activate any of its activated abilities.
  • You can look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction; see below), even if you don't have priority. This action doesn't use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand.
  • You must choose an existing creature type, such as Elk or Advisor. You can't choose card types (e.g., artifact) or supertypes (e.g., snow).
  • You'll still pay all costs for the spell, including additional costs. You may also pay alternative costs if any are available.

This means that if you cast the top card of your library, you can't look at the next one until you're done paying for that spell.
  • Normally, Vizier of the Menagerie allows you to cast the top card of your library if it's a creature card, it's your main phase, and the stack is empty. If that creature card has flash, you'll be able to cast it any time you could cast an instant, even on an opponent's turn.
  • The top card of your library isn't in your hand, so you can't cycle it, discard it, or activate any of its activated abilities.
  • Vizier of the Menagerie lets you look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction—see below), even if you don't have priority. This action doesn't use the stack.
