  • "Flashback [cost]" means "You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost" and "If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack."
  • A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.
  • If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it's legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.

  • If the copied creature is a token, the token that’s created copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that created the token.
  • If the copied creature is copying something else, then the token enters the battlefield as whatever that creature copied.
  • The token copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing else (unless that creature is copying something else or is a token; see below). It doesn’t copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, or so on.

  • Destroying the creature that was copied will not cause the token creature to be destroyed as well.
  • Each Dance of Many is associated only with its token creature. If one Dance leaves the battlefield, only the corresponding token is affected, not all tokens from all instances of Dance of Many.
  • The ability is targeted and checks the validity of the target when put on the stack and when resolving. If the creature is not still there when the copy ability resolves, the ability doesn't resolve and no token is put onto the battlefield. This card remains on the battlefield as an enchantment with no token.
  • The mana cost is copied.
  • Treat the token as entering as a copy of the chosen creature. If that creature normally gets counters when entering, the token creature gets counters.
  • If Dance of Many leaves the battlefield before its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and put a token onto the battlefield. That token won't have any connection to a Dance of Many permanent, so it won't be exiled when a Dance of Many leaves the battlefield.

  • Any "enters" abilities of the copied creature trigger when the creature tokens enter the battlefield. The creature tokens also have any "this enters with" or "as this enters" abilities that the copied creature has.
  • If Followed Footsteps and the enchanted creature leave the battlefield simultaneously (say via Upheaval or Akroma's Vengence somehow cast in response to the triggered ability), then a token copy of the creature that was enchanted when it was last on the battlefield is created. If Followed Foosteps did not enchant a creature when last on the battlefield as it went to the graveyard as a state-based action when the enchanted creature left the battlefield in response to the trigger, then no copy will get created.
