"Find me cards equivalent to: Gild"

Equivalent cards to Gild (black sorcery, exiles a creature, some ramp):
1. Eat to Extinction — Exiles a creature or planeswalker, lets you scry
1.
2. Vraska's Contempt — Exiles a creature or planeswalker, you gain 2 life.
3. Baleful Mastery — Exiles any creature or planeswalker, can be cast cheaper but opponent draws a card.
4. Dark Betrayal — Destroys only black creatures, but doesn’t exile or ramp.

Note: Nothing else in mono-black exiles a creature and creates a permanent mana token; closest are just exile and some extra effect.

  • If an effect increases or decreases the cost of spells you cast, that cost increase or decrease is applied to the alternative cost you chose to pay. In that case, the cost was still paid for the purposes of the effect, even if you paid more or less for it when it was cast.
  • If you choose to pay one alternative cost, you can't pay any other alternative costs. For example, if an effect lets you cast a "Mastery" spell "without paying its mana cost," you can't also choose to pay its given alternative cost.
  • If you copy a "Mastery" spell and the alternative cost was paid, the copy will resolve as though the cost was paid.
  • In a multiplayer game, you choose which opponent takes the prescribed action as the spell resolves.
  • The mana value of a spell on the stack is determined by its mana cost, not any alternative costs you used to pay for it.

You may pay rather than pay this spell's mana cost. If the cost was paid, an opponent draws a card. Exile target creature or planeswalker.

    Surveil

    Rules

  • If the target creature or planeswalker is an illegal target by the time Eat to Extinction tries to resolve, the spell won't resolve. You won't look at or move the top card of your library.
  • If you don't put the top card of your library into your graveyard, it remains on top of your library.
  • You perform the actions stated on a card in sequence. For some spells and abilities, you'll surveil last. For others, you'll surveil and then perform other actions.

  • There are many important moments in the story, but the most crucial—called “story spotlights”—are shown on cards. These cards have the Planeswalker symbol in their text box; this symbol has no effect on gameplay. You can read more about these events in the official Magic fiction at http://www.mtgstory.com.
