"Find me cards equivalent to: Ignite Memories"

Equivalent cards to Ignite Memories (Sorcery, Red, similar effect):
1. Mindclaw Shaman — Steals and casts spells from opponent’s hand (not sorcery, but similar random hand disruption and burn, red).
2. Reforge the Soul — Wheel effect, red sorcery, affects hand but deals no damage.
3. Mindblaze — Red sorcery; targets player and guesses revealed card's mana value for damage.
4. Burning Inquiry — Red sorcery; random discard, no damage.

None are exact on all attributes + storm, but Mindblaze is closest in red for random card-based damage. Ignite Memories itself is unique for storm + hand-reveal-burn.

  • Each player must discard three cards, even a player that (for some reason) didn’t actually draw three cards.
  • First the player whose turn it is draws three cards, then each other player in turn order does so. Then the active player randomly chooses the three cards they will discard, then each other player in turn order does so. Then all the cards are discarded at the same time.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Storm

    Rules

  • A copy of a spell can be countered like any other spell, but it must be countered individually. Countering a spell with storm won't affect the copies.
  • Spells cast from zones other than a player's hand and spells that were countered are counted by the storm ability.
  • The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren't cast and won't be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.
  • The triggered ability that creates the copies can itself be countered by anything that can counter a triggered ability. If it is countered, no copies will be put onto the stack.
  • You may choose new targets for any of the copies. You can make different choices for each copy.

Choose a nonland card name and a number greater than 0. Target player reveals their library. If that library contains exactly the chosen number of cards with the chosen name, Mindblaze deals 8 damage to that player. Then that player shuffles.

    Rules

  • Any player can respond to Mindclaw Shaman’s triggered ability. However, once that ability starts resolving and the target opponent reveals their hand, players can’t respond until after the ability finishes resolving. For example, the opponent can’t cast the instant or sorcery card you choose to cast in order to stop you from casting it.
  • If the card has X in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as its value.
  • If you can’t cast any instant or sorcery card (perhaps because there are no legal targets available) or if you choose not to cast one, then Mindclaw Shaman’s ability finishes resolving and the game moves on.
  • If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t pay any alternative costs. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs. If the card has mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
  • The card goes to its owner’s graveyard after it resolves (or otherwise leaves the stack), not yours.
  • You cast the card from the opponent’s hand immediately. Ignore timing restrictions based on the card’s type. Other timing restrictions, such as “Cast [this card] only during combat,” must be followed.
