  • The ability triggers when a player casts an instant or sorcery *card*. A copy of a card (such as those generated by Eye of the Storm itself) won’t trigger this ability. The card that was cast is exiled and won’t resolve, but the player will get a copy of the spell from Eye of the Storm.
  • The player chooses modes, pays additional costs, chooses targets, and so on for the copies when casting them. Any X in the mana cost of a copy cast this way will be 0. Alternative costs can’t be paid.
  • When the ability resolves, the player copies all cards exiled with Eye of the Storm, not just the cards they own. That player then chooses which of those copies to cast, if any. All chosen copies are cast in the order the player chooses.
  • You must still follow any restrictions on when you can cast the spell, such as “cast only during combat” or “cast only on your own turn.”
  • When a spell with Replicate is copied by Eye of the Storm, you have the opportunity to pay additional costs, so you may Replicate as much as you like (assuming you have the mana available).

  • Any other abilities that trigger when you cast the original spell (for example, if you cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn) will still trigger and go on the stack.
  • If multiple Knowledge Pools are on the battlefield, keep track of which cards are exiled by each of them. Whenever a player casts a spell from their hand: -- If all Knowledge Pools are controlled by the same player, that player chooses the order in which the triggered abilities are put onto the stack. The last one put onto the stack will be the first to resolve. -- If multiple players each control one or more Knowledge Pools, the active player put their triggered abilities on the stack in any order, then each other player in turn order does the same. The last ability put onto the stack this way will be the first to resolve. -- The first triggered ability to resolve will exile the original spell, then the player who cast that spell may cast one of the nonland cards exiled by the Knowledge Pool that generated that triggered ability. The abilities of other Knowledge Pools will do nothing when they resolve, as the original spell will already have been exiled.
  • If the card has any mandatory additional costs, as Kuldotha Rebirth does, you must pay them in order to cast the spell.
  • If the card you cast without paying its mana cost has an X in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as its value.
  • If the original spell isn't exiled (perhaps because it's countered by another spell or ability before Knowledge Pool's second triggered ability resolves), the rest of the ability does nothing. The player doesn't get to cast an exiled card.
  • If there are no nonland cards exiled by Knowledge Pool, the original spell is still exiled.
  • The spell a player casts from their hand won't resolve if it's exiled, even if that spell can't be countered by spells or abilities.
  • Timing restrictions based on the card's type are ignored. For example, you can cast an exiled creature card this way. Other restrictions, such as Spinal Embrace's "Cast Spinal Embrace only during combat" are not ignored.
  • You may cast any other card exiled by Knowledge Pool, including one owned by an opponent. Any card exiled by Knowledge Pool's "enters" ability or its other triggered ability may be cast.
  • You may pay additional costs, such as kicker costs, of the exiled card.

  • If the card has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs, such as emerge costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as escalate costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
  • If you cast an instant or sorcery card this way, it goes to its owner's graveyard as normal. It doesn't return to exile.
  • If you cast the card this way, it will resolve before the spell that caused Mind's Dilation's ability to trigger.
  • If you cast the exiled card, you do so as part of the resolution of Mind's Dilation's ability. You can't wait to cast it later in the turn. Timing permissions based on the card's type are ignored, but other restrictions (such as "Cast [this card] only during combat") are not.
  • If you don't cast the card, perhaps because you choose not to or because it's a land card, it remains exiled.

  • If a copy of a spell is returned to its owner’s hand, it’s moved there, then it will cease to exist as a state-based action.
  • If a spell is returned to its owner’s hand, it’s removed from the stack and thus will not resolve. The spell isn’t countered; it just no longer exists. This works against a spell that can’t be countered.
  • If the spell has damage divided as it was cast, the division can’t be changed (although the targets receiving that damage still can). The same is true of spells that distribute counters.
  • If the spell that’s copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Finale of Promise does), the copy will have the same value of X.
  • If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. A different mode can’t be chosen.
  • If you copy a spell, you control the copy. Narset’s Reversal and the copy resolve before the original spell would have resolved.
  • Narset’s Reversal can copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • The controller of a copy can’t choose to pay any alternative or additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any alternative or additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy.
  • The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
