"Find me cards equivalent to: Mirror Box"

Equivalent cards to Mirror Box (colorless artifacts that interact with legendary rules, legendary creatures, or same-name bonuses):
1. Mirror Gallery — Artifact, colorless, text: The legend rule doesn't apply.
2. Helm of the Host — Artifact, colorless, creates nonlegendary copies of creatures, dodges the legend rule.
3. Vanquisher's Banner — Artifact, colorless, gives same-type creatures +1/+1, tribal-based, not name-based.
4. Adaptive Automaton — Artifact Creature, colorless, gives a chosen creature type +1/+1.
5. Icon of Ancestry — Artifact, colorless, similar tribal bonus effect.

None besides Mirror Gallery are 100% equivalent, but all share one or more key aspects. Mirror Box remains the only one with all those effects together.

  • The choice of creature type is made as Adaptive Automaton enters. Players can't take any actions between the time the choice is made and the time the appropriate creatures begin to get +1/+1.
  • You must choose an existing creature type, such as Human or Warrior. Card types such as artifact and supertypes such as legendary can't be chosen.

    Rules

  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any "as [this creature] enters the battlefield" or "[this creature] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the chosen creature will also work.
  • If the copied creature has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0.
  • If the copied creature is a token, the token that's created copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that created that token.
  • If the copied creature is copying something else (for example, if the copied creature is a Clone), then the token enters the battlefield as whatever that creature copied.
  • If the equipped creature leaves the battlefield before the triggered ability of Helm of the Host resolves, or if there is no equipped creature, no token is created. However, if Helm of the Host leaves the battlefield while its triggered ability is on the stack, a token will be created of the creature it last equipped. If that creature has also left the battlefield, its last known information is used to determine what the token looks like.
  • The token copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing else (unless that creature is copying something else or is a token; see below). It doesn't copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on.
  • The token gains haste indefinitely, and this effect isn't copiable. If something else copies the token later, that copy won't have haste.
  • The token isn't legendary, and this exception is copiable. If something else copies the token later, that copy also won't be legendary. If you control two or more permanents with the same name but only one is legendary, the "legend rule" doesn't apply.

    Rules

  • A face-down creature has no name, so it doesn't have the same name as anything else.
  • Although token creatures won't get a bonus from Mirror Box's last ability, tokens that are copies of nontoken creatures improve the bonus those creatures get.
  • If you control more than one legendary permanent with the same name and the “legend rule” begins applying again (perhaps because Mirror Box leaves the battlefield), you'll immediately have to comply with the rule and put all but one of those permanents into the graveyard.
  • The “legend rule” is the rule that states that if a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners' graveyards.
  • While the “legend rule” doesn't apply to permanents you control, you can control any number of legendary permanents with the same name and none of them will be put into the graveyard.
