"Find me cards equivalent to: Mogg Infestation"

Cards similar to Mogg Infestation (red sorcery, mass removal, token creation):

  • Devastating Summons (lets you sacrifice lands, creates X 1/1 red Elementals, not quite the same effect but similarly trades resources for tokens)
  • Krenko's Command (creates 2 1/1 red Goblin tokens, but doesn’t destroy creatures)
  • To the Slaughter (not red, but closest for single-target creature removal and possible token output)
  • Blasphemous Act (destroys all creatures, but no tokens—red, mass removal)

Closest equivalent is Mogg Infestation itself; nothing else perfectly matches in red with both mass destruction and token creation. Red typically doesn't do both at once.

  • Although players may respond to Blasphemous Act once it's been cast, once it's announced, they can't respond before the cost is calculated and paid.
  • Blasphemous Act's ability can't reduce the total cost to cast the spell below {R}.
  • The total cost to cast Blasphemous Act is locked in before you pay that cost. For example, if there are three creatures on the battlefield, including one you can sacrifice to add {C}, the total cost of Blasphemous Act is {5}{R}. Then you can sacrifice the creature when you activate mana abilities just before paying the cost.
  • To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions (such as that of Blasphemous Act). The mana value of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

    Rules

  • You may sacrifice zero lands as you cast Devastating Summons. If you do, you'll put two 0/0 creature tokens onto the battlefield as the spell resolves. Unless some effect (such as the one from Glorious Anthem) is boosting their toughness, they'll be put into the graveyard as a state-based action. Abilities that trigger when a creature enters will trigger, as will those that trigger when a creature leaves the battlefield.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Rules

  • Because you consider only the characteristics of a double-faced card's front face while it's not on the battlefield, the types of its back face won't be counted for delirium.
  • If the delirium ability applies, that player must sacrifice a creature object and a planeswalker object if able. In the unusual case that the player controls a single permanent that's both a creature and a planeswalker, that player must sacrifice another creature or planeswalker (unless they control no other creatures and no other planeswalkers).
  • In some rare cases, you can have a token or a copy of a spell in your graveyard at the moment that an object's delirium ability counts the card types among cards in your graveyard, before that token or copy ceases to exist. Because tokens and copies of spells are not cards, even if they are copies of cards, their types will never be counted.
  • Some delirium abilities that appear on instants and sorceries use the word "instead." These spells have an upgraded effect when they resolve if there are four or more card types among cards in your graveyard. They check that number only while they're resolving and don't count themselves, since they aren't in your graveyard yet. You only get the upgraded effect, not both effects.
  • The card types in Magic are artifact, battle, creature, enchantment, instant, kindred, land, planeswalker, and sorcery. Supertypes (such as legendary and basic) and subtypes (such as Human and Equipment) are not counted.
  • The number of card types matters, not the number of cards. For example, Wicker Witch (an artifact creature) along with Catalog (an instant) and Chaplain's Blessing (a sorcery) will enable delirium.
