  • Polymorph: Destroys a creature, replaces it from library (blue, similar effect).

  • If there are no creatures in the player’s library, then the target creature is still destroyed, you see all the cards in that player’s library, and then they shuffle and continue play.
  • A “creature card” is any card with the type creature, even if it has other types such as artifact, enchantment, or land. Older cards of type summon are also creature cards.
  • If the targeted creature is an illegal target by the time Polymorph would resolve, the entire spell doesn’t resolve. Nothing else happens.
  • If there are no creature cards in the player’s library, all the cards in that library are revealed, then the library is shuffled. (The targeted creature remains destroyed.)
  • If the targeted creature has indestructible, it’s still a legal target — it just isn’t destroyed. The rest of Polymorph’s effect happens as normal.

  • When Reweave resolves it uses the type(s) that the permanent had right before it was sacrificed.
  • The player reveals cards only if the targeted permanent gets sacrificed.
  • With the introduction of the kindred type it became possible for an instant or sorcery card to share a type with the sacrificed permanent (ie, a kindred instant card shares a type with a kindred enchantment card). Reweave has received errata so that the effect looks for a *permanent* card that shares a type with the sacrificed permanent. A permanent card is a card that could be put onto the battlefield, which is any card that isn't an instant or sorcery.
  • A card with a splice ability can't be spliced onto itself because the spell is on the stack (and not in your hand) when you reveal the cards you want to splice onto it.
  • If all of the spell's targets are illegal when the spell tries to resolve, it won't resolve and none of its effects will happen.
  • You choose all targets for the spell after revealing cards you want to splice, including any targets required by the text of any of those cards. You may choose a different target for each instance of the word "target" on the resulting spell.
  • You reveal all cards you intend to splice at the same time. Each individual card can be spliced only once onto any one spell.

  • 1) Each player counts the number of permanents they own.
  • 2) Each player shuffles those permanents into their library.
  • 3) Each player reveals cards from the top of their library equal to the number that player counted.
  • 4) Each player puts all artifact, land, and creature cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. All of these cards enter at the same time.
  • 5) Each player puts all enchantment cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way can enchant an artifact, land, or creature that was already put onto the battlefield, but can't enchant an enchantment that's being put onto the battlefield at the same time as it. If multiple players have Auras to put onto the battlefield, the player whose turn it is announces what their Auras will enchant, then each other player in turn order does the same, then all enchantments (both Auras and non-Auras) enter at the same time.
  • 6) Each player puts all of their other revealed cards (instants, sorceries, planeswalkers, and Auras that can't enchant anything) on the bottom of their library in any order.
  • Taking it slowly, here's what happens when Warp World resolves:
  • Tokens are permanents but not cards. They'll count toward the number of permanents shuffled into your library, so you'll get a card back for each token you owned. But the tokens themselves should be ignored while you're revealing *cards* from your library. In practice, you shouldn't actually shuffle them into your library since they'll cease to exist as soon as Warp World finishes resolving. Note that a token's owner is the player under who created it.
  • If a permanent leaves the battlefield this way but ends up in a zone other than a library (most likely because it's a player's commander in the Commander variant), it's still counted to determine how many cards to reveal.
