"Find me cards equivalent to: Songbirds' Blessing"

Equivalent cards to Songbirds' Blessing (Enchantment — Aura, white, Aura-related library revealing/putting onto battlefield) include:
1. Evershrike (white, interacts with Auras in graveyard/library, but self-reanimation with Aura)
2. Open the Armory (searches for Aura/equipment, not an aura, just tutoring)
3. Eland Umbra (Aura, white, protection, but no library interaction)
4. Sovereigns of Lost Alara (white, Aura fetching, but from library onto battlefield attached to attacking creature)

Closest in function and color:

  • Sovereigns of Lost Alara (fetches Auras from library when a creature attacks)

Reason:
Direct equivalents are rare. Most white Auras don't tutor library Auras, but Sovereigns of Lost Alara is the mechanically closest, sharing color and Aura-library synergy.

  • If a creature enchanted with an Aura that has umbra armor has indestructible, lethal damage and effects that try to destroy it simply have no effect. Umbra armor won't do anything because it won't have to.
  • If a creature enchanted with an Aura that has umbra armor would be destroyed by multiple state-based actions at the same time (most likely because a creature with deathtouch has dealt damage to that creature greater than or equal to its toughness), umbra armor's effect will replace all of them and save the creature.
  • If a creature you control is enchanted with multiple Auras that have umbra armor, and the enchanted creature would be destroyed, one of those Auras is destroyed instead—but only one of them. You choose which one because you control the enchanted creature.
  • If a spell or ability says that it would "destroy" a creature enchanted with an Aura that has umbra armor, that spell or ability is what causes the Aura to be destroyed instead. Umbra armor doesn't destroy the Aura; rather, it changes the effects of the spell or ability. On the other hand, if a spell or ability deals lethal damage to a creature enchanted with an Aura that has umbra armor, the game rules regarding lethal damage cause the Aura to be destroyed, not that spell or ability.
  • If a spell or ability would destroy both an Aura with umbra armor and the creature it's enchanting at the same time, umbra armor's effect will save the enchanted creature from being destroyed. Instead, the spell or ability will destroy the Aura in two different ways at the same time, but the result is the same as destroying it once.
  • Some printings of this card refer to the ability "totem armor". This ability's name has been replaced with "umbra armor". This change does not affect the gameplay function of this card.
  • Umbra armor has no effect if the enchanted creature is put into a graveyard for any other reason, such as if it's sacrificed, if the "legend rule" applies to it, or if its toughness is 0 or less.
  • Umbra armor's effect is applied no matter why the enchanted creature would be destroyed: because it's been dealt lethal damage, or because it's being affected by an effect that says to "destroy" it (such as Breathe Your Last). In either case, all damage is removed from the creature and the Aura is destroyed instead.
  • Umbra armor's effect is mandatory. If the enchanted creature would be destroyed, you must remove all damage from it (if it has any) and destroy the Aura that has umbra armor instead.
  • Umbra armor's effect is not regeneration. Specifically, if umbra armor's effect is applied, the enchanted creature does not become tapped and is not removed from combat as a result. Effects that say the enchanted creature can't be regenerated won't prevent umbra armor's effect from being applied.

  • You can activate Evershrike's ability even if you have no Auras in your hand, or if you have an Aura in your hand that you don't want to put on it or can't put on it. In either case, you'll return Evershrike to the battlefield from your graveyard, then exile it. No player has the opportunity to cast spells or activate abilities while Evershrike is on the battlefield.
  • You can activate Evershrike's ability only while it's in your graveyard.
  • You can activate Evershrike's ability with X = 0. If you do, you'll return Evershrike to the battlefield from your graveyard, then exile it. (There are no Aura cards with mana value 0.)
  • You can't put an Aura onto the battlefield this way unless that Aura can legally be attached to Evershrike. For example, you can't put an Aura card with "enchant player" onto the battlefield this way.

    Rules

  • If you put an Aura card onto the battlefield with Songbirds' Blessing's triggered ability, you choose what it will enchant as it enters the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way doesn't target anything (so it could be attached to an opponent's permanent with hexproof, for example), but the Aura's enchant ability restricts what it can be attached to. If the Aura can't legally be attached to anything, you won't be able to put it onto the battlefield, and it will be put into your hand by the next part of the effect.

    Rules

  • Any Aura card you find with Sovereigns of Lost Alara's second ability must be able to enchant the attacking creature as it currently exists. You need to check the Aura's enchant ability as well as any effects, such as protection, that would make it illegal to attach that Aura to the attacking creature. For example, if the attacking creature were an artifact creature with protection from blue, you could find an Aura with "enchant artifact," but you could not find a blue Aura.
  • If the attacking creature has left the battlefield by the time Sovereigns of Lost Alara's second ability resolves, you can't put an Aura onto the battlefield this way. You may still choose to search your library just to shuffle it.
  • If you choose to search your library but no applicable Aura card is left in your deck (or you choose not to find one), then nothing enters and you simply shuffle your library.
  • The attacking creature is not targeted by either this ability or the Aura, so a creature with shroud can be enchanted this way.
