"Find me cards equivalent to: The Mana Rig"

Equivalent colorless legendary artifacts with similar effects to The Mana Rig:
1. Karn, Legacy Reforged – Creates mana based on artifact count, legendary artifact creature.
2. Mirage Mirror – Copies other artifacts/creatures/lands temporarily; legendary-like versatility.
3. The Immortal Sun – Multiple abilities: card draw, mana reduction, passive effects.

Reason: True equivalents are rare, as The Mana Rig has unique Powerstone and selection effects. Above cards share similar artifact-centric abilities and utility, but none match both abilities exactly. All are colorless legendary artifacts.

  • Karn's last ability isn't a mana ability, even though it adds mana. It uses the stack and it can be responded to. Use the number of artifacts you control as the ability resolves to determine how much mana to add.
  • The ability that defines Karn's power and toughness works in all zones, not just the battlefield. As long as Karn is under your control and still an artifact, its own mana value will count. In most cases, it'll be at least 5/5.
  • The mana produced by Karn's last ability can be spent on anything that isn't a nonartifact spell. This includes casting artifact spells, paying costs to activate abilities of both artifact and nonartifact permanents, paying ward costs, and so on.

Karn's power and toughness are each equal to the greatest mana value among artifacts you control. At the beginning of your upkeep, add for each artifact you control. This mana can't be spent to cast nonartifact spells. Until end of turn, you don't lose this mana as steps and phases end.

  • If Mirage Mirror becomes a copy of a legendary permanent you control, you'll put one of them into your graveyard.
  • If Mirage Mirror becomes a copy of an Aura, it's put into its owner's graveyard unless it's somehow attached to an appropriate object or player already. If it becomes a copy of an Equipment and is attached to a creature, it'll become unattached when it becomes a non-Equipment artifact again.
  • If Mirage Mirror becomes a creature the same turn it enters the battlefield, you can't attack with it or use any of its {T} abilities (if it gains any) unless it has haste.
  • If Mirage Mirror copies a permanent that's copying something else, it will become whatever the target is copying.
  • If an effect begins to apply to Mirage Mirror before it becomes a copy of another permanent, that effect will continue to apply. For example, if Mirage Mirror is activated twice in response to itself targeting first Rampaging Hippo then Frilled Sandwalla, the ability it has while it's a copy of Frilled Sandwalla can be activated and its effect will continue to apply while Mirage Mirror is a copy of Rampaging Hippo.
  • If you activate Mirage Mirror's ability multiple times in a turn in response to itself, then each time one of those abilities resolves, it will overwrite whatever Mirage Mirror is copying. Mirage Mirror will wind up as a copy of the permanent targeted by the last ability to resolve. When the turn ends, all instances of the ability will wear off at the same time.
  • Mirage Mirror copies the printed values of the target permanent, plus any copy effects that have been applied to it. It won't copy counters on that permanent or effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, or so on. Notably, it won't copy effects that made the target permanent become a creature.
  • Once Mirage Mirror's ability resolves, it no longer has that ability.

  • Although all the cards in the Dominaria United set that create Powerstone tokens create a tapped Powerstone token, entering the battlefield tapped isn’t part of the token’s definition. Notably, if you create a token that is a copy of a Powerstone token, the token copy won’t enter the battlefield tapped.
  • Powerstone tokens are a new kind of predefined token. Each one has the artifact subtype “Powerstone” and the ability “{T}: Add {C}. This mana can’t be spent to cast a nonartifact spell.”
  • You can use the {C} added by a Powerstone token on anything that isn’t a nonartifact spell. This includes paying costs to activate abilities of both artifact and nonartifact permanents, paying ward costs, and so on.

Whenever you cast a multicolored spell, create a tapped Powerstone token. (It's an artifact with ": Add . This mana can't be spent to cast a nonartifact spell.") , : Look at the top X cards of your library. Put up to two of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
