"Find me cards equivalent to: The Sixth Doctor"

Equivalent cards to The Sixth Doctor that are green and blue, care about casting historic (artifact, legendary, or Saga) spells, and have a copy effect or similar synergy:
1. Riku of Two Reflections (GU)

  • Can copy instant, sorcery and creature spells for GU mana.
    2. Adrix and Nev, Twincasters (GU)
  • Doubles token creation, relevant if you’re copying permanent spells into tokens.
    3. Narset's Reversal (U, not legendary/historic specific, but copies spells)
    4. Tawnos, Urza's Apprentice (UR, but not GU, copies artifacts)

No card does exactly what The Sixth Doctor does, but Riku of Two Reflections is closest for GU copying spells and creatures, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters supports token doubling for copied permanents.

    Ward

    Rules

  • If a player casts a spell that targets multiple permanents their opponent controls with ward, each of those ward abilities will trigger. If that player doesn't pay for all of them, the spell will be countered.
  • Everything that is specified by the effect creating the original token or tokens will also be true about the additional token or tokens created by Adrix and Nev's replacement effect. For example, if an effect tells you to create a token "tapped and attacking" the additional tokens will also be tapped and attacking. Similarly, if an effect creates a token and puts counters on it (such as a Fractal token) the additional token will also get those counters.

    Rules

  • If a copy of a spell is returned to its owner’s hand, it’s moved there, then it will cease to exist as a state-based action.
  • If a spell is returned to its owner’s hand, it’s removed from the stack and thus will not resolve. The spell isn’t countered; it just no longer exists. This works against a spell that can’t be countered.
  • If the spell has damage divided as it was cast, the division can’t be changed (although the targets receiving that damage still can). The same is true of spells that distribute counters.
  • If the spell that’s copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Finale of Promise does), the copy will have the same value of X.
  • If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. A different mode can’t be chosen.
  • If you copy a spell, you control the copy. Narset’s Reversal and the copy resolve before the original spell would have resolved.
  • Narset’s Reversal can copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • The controller of a copy can’t choose to pay any alternative or additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any alternative or additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy.
  • The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).

    Rules

  • As the token is created, it checks the printed values of the creature it's copying, as well as any copy effects that have been applied to it.
  • Each time the first ability triggers, you can pay {U}{R} only one time to get one copy of the spell. Each time the second ability triggers, you can pay {G}{U} only one time to get one token.
  • If the copied spell has {X} in its mana cost, the value of X is copied.
  • If the copied spell is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy has the same mode as the original spell. You can't choose a different one.
  • If the creature had {X} in its mana cost, X must be 0. Note this is different from an {X} found in the mana cost of a copied spell.
  • If the creature that caused Riku's second ability to trigger has already left the battlefield by the time the ability resolves, you can still pay {G}{U}. If you do, you'll still put a token onto the battlefield. That token has the copiable values of the characteristics of that creature as it last existed on the battlefield.
  • If the spell that caused Riku's first ability to trigger has left the stack by the time the ability resolves, you can still pay {U}{R}. If you do, you'll copy the spell as it last existed on the stack.
  • Riku's first ability triggers whenever you cast any instant or sorcery spell, regardless of whether that spell has targets.
  • The copiable values of the token's characteristics are the same as the copiable values of the characteristics of the creature it's copying.
  • You can't pay any additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any additional costs paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy. Notably, if the original spell was kicked (or kicked a certain number of times), the copy will also be kicked (or kicked that many times).

    Abilities/Keywords

    Haste

    Rules

  • Activated abilities contain a colon. They're generally written "[Cost]: [Effect]." Some keyword abilities (such as equip) are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text. An activated mana ability is one that produces mana as it resolves, not one that costs mana to activate.
  • An "artifact source" is a permanent, spell, or card in any zone with the card type "artifact." For example, Tawnos's ability can target a cycling ability you've activated if the discarded card is an artifact card.
  • Any choices made when the ability resolves won't have been made yet when it's copied. Any such choices will be made separately when the copy resolves. If a triggered ability asks you to pay a cost (such as that of Mirrorworks), you pay that cost for the copy separately.
  • If an ability is linked to a second ability, copies of that ability are also linked to that second ability. If the second ability refers to "the exiled card," it refers to all cards exiled by the ability and the copy. For example, if Tidehollow Sculler's enters-the-battlefield ability is copied and two cards are exiled, they both return when Tidehollow Sculler leaves the battlefield.
  • If the ability divides damage or distributes counters among a number of targets (for example, the ability of Verdurous Gearhulk), the division and number of targets can't be changed. If you choose new targets, you must choose the same number of targets.
  • If the ability is modal (that is, if it says, "Choose one —" or similar), the mode is copied and can't be changed.
  • If the activated ability's cost contains a choice, such as a creature to sacrifice or a number of counters to remove, the copy uses that same information. You can't pay the cost again, even if you want to.
  • In some cases involving linked abilities, an ability requires information about "the exiled card." When this happens, the ability gets multiple answers. If these answers are being used to determine the value of a variable, the sum is used. For example, if Soul Foundry's enters-the-battlefield ability is copied, two cards are exiled. The value of X in the activation cost of Soul Foundry's other ability is the sum of the two cards' mana values. As the ability resolves, you create a token copy of each card.
  • Tawnos's ability targets an ability that is on the stack and creates another instance of that ability on the stack. It doesn't cause any object to gain an ability.
  • The source of the copy is the same as the source of the original ability.
  • Triggered abilities use the word "when," "whenever," or "at." They're often written as "[Trigger condition], [effect]." Some keyword abilities are triggered abilities and will have "when," "whenever," or "at the beginning of" in their reminder text.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Rules

  • If an effect instructs you to choose a creature type, you may choose Time Lord.
  • Neither "Time" nor "Lord" are creature types. Some older cards were printed with the subtype "Lord," but all of those cards have updated Oracle card text that removed that type.
  • Unlike other creature types in Magic that are each only one word, the two words "Time Lord" represent a single creature subtype. Time Lord is the only two-word creature type.
  • Usually, a historic spell won't have any targets. However, if it does have one or more targets, those targets will remain the same for the copy. You won't get to choose new targets.

Time Lord's Prerogative — Whenever you cast a historic spell, copy it, except the copy isn't legendary. This ability triggers only once each turn. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic. A copy of a permanent spell becomes a token.)
