"Find me cards equivalent to: Vadrok, Apex of Thunder"

Equivalent cards in Jeskai colors (Red, Blue, White) with similar features (legendary, mutate, graveyard casting, or spell recursion) include:

  • Vadrok, Apex of Thunder (the card you searched for)
  • Narset, Enlightened Exile (lets you cast noncreature spells from your graveyard when your creatures attack)
  • Elsha of the Infinite (lets you cast noncreature spells from the top of your library at instant speed)
  • Aminatou, the Fateshifter (Esper, but blue/white/red adjacent; manipulates top of deck and graveyard)
  • Sevinne, the Chronoclasm (casts spells from the graveyard, more focused on flashback)

These fit Jeskai colors and focus on spell recursion or casting from graveyard/library. None have mutate, as Vadrok is unique among Jeskai legendaries there.

  • Aminatou's second ability can target any permanent you own, including those another player controls.
  • As Aminatou's third ability resolves, you choose a direction, then each player takes control of their new permanents at the same time.
  • If a token is exiled this way, it will cease to exist and won't return to the battlefield.
  • In a multiplayer game, if a player leaves the game, all cards that player owns leave as well. The effect of Aminatou's third ability stops applying to all permanents that player controlled and control of them reverts to their previous controller.
  • In a two-player game, each player gains control of each permanent the other controls (aside from Aminatou) no matter which direction you choose.
  • Once the exiled permanent returns, it's considered a new object with no relation to the object that it was. Auras attached to the exiled permanent will be put into their owners' graveyards. Equipment attached to the exiled permanent will become unattached and remain on the battlefield. Any counters on the exiled permanent will cease to exist.
  • The effect of Aminatou's third ability lasts indefinitely. It continues to apply after Aminatou (or her controller) leaves the game.
  • You draw a card and put one back all while Aminatou's first ability is resolving. Nothing can happen between the two, and no player may choose to take actions.

    Rules

  • Elsha lets you look at the top card of your library whenever you want (with one restriction—see below), even if you don't have priority. This action doesn't use the stack. Knowing what that card is becomes part of the information you have access to, just like you can look at the cards in your hand.
  • If the top card of your library changes while you're casting a spell, playing a land, or activating an ability, you can't look at the new top card until you finish doing so. This means that if you cast the top card of your library, you can't look at the next one until you're done paying for that spell.
  • You'll still pay all costs for a spell you cast from your library, including additional costs. You may also pay alternative costs.

Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.) You may look at the top card of your library any time. You may cast noncreature spells from the top of your library. If you cast a spell this way, you may cast it as though it had flash.

    Rules

  • If a creature has multiple instances of prowess, each triggers separately.
  • If another effect causes Narset's power to be less than or equal to the mana value of the target card as the ability tries to resolve, the target is illegal. The card won't be exiled, and you won't get to cast a copy.
  • If the spell you cast has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X.
  • If you cast a spell "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
  • If you don't want to cast the copy, you can choose not to; the copy ceases to exist the next time state-based actions are performed.
  • Narset's first ability gives it prowess while it's on the battlefield.
  • Once a prowess ability triggers, causing the creature to lose prowess by removing Narset, Enlightened Exile won't affect that ability. The creature will still get +1/+1 until end of turn.
  • You cast the copy while the ability is resolving and still on the stack. You can't wait to cast it later in the turn.

    Rules

  • A copy is created even if the spell that caused Sevinne's ability to trigger has been countered by the time that ability resolves. The copy resolves before the original spell.
  • If the spell that's copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast, the copy has the same value of X.
  • If the spell that's copied is modal (that is, it says "Choose one —" or the like), the copy will have the same mode or modes. You can't choose different ones.
  • If you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard before Sevinne enters the battlefield during the same turn, its last ability can't trigger that turn.
  • Sevinne's ability will copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • The copy that Sevinne's ability creates is created on the stack, so it's not "cast." Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won't trigger. Any of that spell's effects that apply only if it was cast from a graveyard won't apply.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it's copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. The new targets must be legal.
  • You can't choose to pay any additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy too.
