"Find me cards equivalent to: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder"

Equivalent cards to Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder (GURB, Legendary Creature, Cascade theme):
1. Maelstrom Wanderer – Legendary Creature, GUR, gives cascade (double) to itself.
2. Narset, Enlightened Exile – Legendary Creature, URW, gives spells cast from graveyard (not hand) with a cascade-like effect (cast for free).
3. Xyris, the Writhing Storm – Legendary Creature, GUR, focuses on card draw triggers, not cascade, but similar color and style.

Closest equivalent is Maelstrom Wanderer due to color and cascade. No other four-color creature grants cascade to spells in this exact way.

    Cascade

    Rules

  • Each instance of cascade triggers and resolves separately. The spell you cast due to the first cascade ability will go on the stack on top of the second cascade ability. That spell will resolve before you exile cards for the second cascade ability.
  • Maelstrom Wanderer gives itself haste.
  • No matter what spell you cast with the first cascade trigger (or with any cascade triggers that result from casting that spell), the second cascade trigger will look for a spell with mana value less than Maelstrom Wanderer's mana value of 8.

Creatures you control have haste. Cascade, cascade (When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order. Then do it again.)

    Rules

  • If a creature has multiple instances of prowess, each triggers separately.
  • If another effect causes Narset's power to be less than or equal to the mana value of the target card as the ability tries to resolve, the target is illegal. The card won't be exiled, and you won't get to cast a copy.
  • If the spell you cast has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X.
  • If you cast a spell "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
  • If you don't want to cast the copy, you can choose not to; the copy ceases to exist the next time state-based actions are performed.
  • Narset's first ability gives it prowess while it's on the battlefield.
  • Once a prowess ability triggers, causing the creature to lose prowess by removing Narset, Enlightened Exile won't affect that ability. The creature will still get +1/+1 until end of turn.
  • You cast the copy while the ability is resolving and still on the stack. You can't wait to cast it later in the turn.

    Rules

  • If a spell or ability causes an opponent to put cards into their hand without specifically using the word "draw," it's not a card drawn.
  • If the amount of damage Xyris deals is greater than the number of cards in your library and the number of cards in that player's library, you both lose the game at the same time. It doesn't matter if one of you had more cards in library than the other. If there are no other players left in the game, the game is a draw.
  • If the amount of damage Xyris deals is greater than the number of cards in your library but causes the defending player's life total to become 0 or less, that player loses the game before Xyris's ability causes you to draw cards. If there are no other players left in the game, you win the game.

Flying Whenever an opponent draws a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, create a 1/1 green Snake creature token. Whenever Xyris deals combat damage to a player, you and that player each draw that many cards.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Trample

    Rules

  • If Yidris's triggered ability resolves more than once in one turn, spells you cast from your hand will gain cascade that many times. Each instance of cascade triggers separately; resolve one cascade trigger and the spell you cast from it before resolving the next cascade trigger.
  • Spells you cast from your hand this turn will gain cascade even if Yidris leaves the battlefield.
  • A spell's mana value is determined only by its mana cost. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions.
  • Cascade triggers when you cast the spell, meaning that it resolves before that spell. If you end up casting the exiled card, it will go on the stack above the spell with cascade.
  • Due to a 2021 rules change to cascade, not only do you stop exiling cards if you exile a nonland card with lesser mana value than the spell with cascade, but the resulting spell you cast must also have lesser mana value. Previously, in cases where a card's mana value differed from the resulting spell, such as with some modal double-faced cards or cards with an Adventure, you could cast a spell with a higher mana value than the exiled card.
  • If a spell with cascade is countered, the cascade ability will still resolve normally.
  • If the card has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the card.
  • The mana value of a split card is determined by the combined mana cost of its two halves. If cascade allows you to cast a split card, you may cast either half but not both halves.
  • When the cascade ability resolves, you must exile cards. The only optional part of the ability is whether or not you cast the last card exiled.
  • You exile the cards face up. All players will be able to see them.

Trample Whenever Yidris deals combat damage to a player, as you cast spells from your hand this turn, they gain cascade. (When you cast the spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order.)
