"Find me cards equivalent to: Abeyance"

Equivalent cards in white to Abeyance with similar effects:
1. Orim's Chant

  • Instant, W
  • Target player can't cast spells this turn. Creatures can't attack this turn.
    2. Silence
  • Instant, W
  • Your opponents can't cast spells this turn.
    3. Mana Tithe (partial)
  • Instant, W
  • Counter target spell unless its controller pays {1} (disruption/white instant).

All are white instants that restrict spell casting. None draw a card exactly like Abeyance, but Orim's Chant and Silence are closest in intent.

    Rules

  • Abeyance does not affect abilities which are not activated, such as static abilities and triggered abilities. It also doesn't stop the declaration of attackers or blockers.
  • Abeyance never prevents mana abilities from being activated.
  • Abeyance prohibits activated abilities of cards which are not on the battlefield.
  • This can't be used as a counterspell. It will have no effect on spells which were on the stack when it was cast, nor on those cast in response to it.

    Kicker

    Rules

  • A player who can't cast a spell can't suspend a card.
  • Orim's Chant also won't affect creatures that are already attacking. It does not remove them from combat.
  • Orim's Chant won't affect spells that your opponents cast before you cast Orim's Chant, including any spells that are still on the stack. Orim's Chant also won't stop your opponents from casting spells after you cast Orim's Chant but before Orim's Chant resolves.
  • The target opponent can still activate abilities, including abilities of cards in their hands (like cycling). Their triggered abilities work as normal, they can still play lands, and so on.
  • If a card or token enters as a copy of a permanent, the new permanent isn't kicked, even if the original was.
  • If a spell's kicker cost was paid, the spell is "kicked."
  • If you copy a kicked spell on the stack, the copy is also kicked. If the copied spell is a permanent spell, the token the copy of that spell becomes when it enters is also kicked.
  • If you put a permanent with a kicker ability onto the battlefield without casting it, you can't kick it.
  • The kicker ability doesn't let you pay a kicker cost more than once.
  • To determine a spell's total cost, start with the mana cost (or an alternative cost if another card's effect allows you to pay one instead), add any cost increases (such as kicker), then apply any cost reductions. The spell's mana value remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
