"Find me cards equivalent to: Aven Mindcensor"

Equivalent cards to Aven Mindcensor in white:
1. Aven Mindcensor — Has flash, flying, and hoses library searches.
2. Leonin Arbiter — Players can’t search libraries unless they pay 2; static search disruption.
3. Drannith Magistrate — Prevents opponents from casting spells not from hand; different, but similar disruptive effect.
4. Hushwing Gryff — Flash, flying; stops ETB abilities instead of searches.

Reason: True equivalents to Aven Mindcensor are limited; Leonin Arbiter comes closest within mono-white to disrupting library searches.

    Rules

  • After the search is complete, the entire library is shuffled.
  • Each search works exactly the same as normal except that the opponent doing the searching sees only the top four cards of that library. They can't look at the other cards in that library at all. Cards not in the top four cards of the library can't be found in the search, even if they're identifiable in some manner.
  • For effects that check whether a player searched a library or may search a library, searching the top four cards of that library counts as searching that library.
  • If an effect uses the word "search" once but allows an opponent to search for multiple cards, the top four cards remain the same throughout the entire search. Finding one card won't cause the fifth card to become included in the search.

  • Effects may put cards from other zones onto the battlefield under an opponent's control.
  • If a rule or effect allows them to do so, your opponents may play lands from zones other than their hand and activate abilities of cards in zones other than their hand.
  • If an effect says that an opponent may cast a spell from anywhere other than their hand, Drannith Magistrate's restriction overrules that permission.

    Rules

  • Abilities that apply “as [this creature] enters the battlefield,” such as choosing a creature to copy with Mercurial Pretender, are also unaffected.
  • Abilities that create replacement effects, such as a permanent entering the battlefield tapped or with counters on it, are unaffected.
  • Hushwing Gryff’s ability stops a creature’s own enters-the-battlefield triggered abilities as well as other triggered abilities that would trigger when a creature enters the battlefield.
  • If Hushwing Gryff and another creature enter the battlefield at the same time, neither creature entering the battlefield will cause triggered abilities to trigger.
  • Look at the permanent as it exists on the battlefield, taking into account continuous effects, to determine whether any triggered abilities will trigger. For example, if you control March of the Machines, which says, in part, “Each noncreature artifact is an artifact creature,” each artifact will be a creature at the time it enters the battlefield and will not cause triggered abilities to trigger.
  • The trigger event doesn’t have to specify “creatures” entering the battlefield. For example, Amulet of Vigor says “Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield tapped and under your control, untap it.” If a creature enters the battlefield tapped and under your control, Amulet of Vigor’s ability would not trigger. If a land (that isn’t also a creature) enters the battlefield tapped and under your control, Amulet of Vigor’s ability would trigger.
  • Triggered abilities use the word “when,” “whenever,” or “at.” They’re often written as “[Trigger condition], [effect].”

  • A player who has paid {2} may search any library when instructed to do so that turn, not just their own library.
  • Effects that instruct you to reveal or look at cards from the top of you library will still work. Only effects that use the word "search" are affected.
  • If a player pays {2}, that enables only them to ignore Leonin Arbiter's effect that turn. Each other player is still affected by it.
  • If an effect says "Search your library . . . then shuffle your library," you shuffle you libraries even though you can't search.
  • If an effect says "You may search your library . . . If you do, shuffle your library" or "You may search your library . . . then shuffle your library," you can't choose to search, so you won't shuffle.
  • If there are multiple Leonin Arbiters on the battlefield, a player must pay {2} for each one before being able to search libraries that turn.
  • Once a player has paid {2}, they may search libraries that turn as many times as they are instructed to do so.
  • Paying {2} doesn't let a player pick up a library and search it — it just allows them to ignore Leonin Arbiter's effect that turn. That player can search a library only if another spell or ability instructs them to do so.
  • Paying {2} to ignore Leonin Arbiter's effect is a special action. Any player may take this special action any time they have priority. It doesn't use the stack and can't be responded to.
  • Since players who haven't paid {2} can't search, they won't be able to find any cards in a library. The effect applies to all players and all libraries. If a spell or ability's effect has other parts that don't depend on searching for or finding cards, they will still work normally.

Players can't search libraries. Any player may pay for that player to ignore this effect until end of turn.
