"Find me cards equivalent to: Cadric, Soul Kindler"

Equivalent cards to Cadric, Soul Kindler (Legendary, Red/White, legendary/tokens matter):

  • Jaxis, the Troublemaker (Red): Can copy creatures, gives the copy haste, and sacrifices at end step.
  • Flamekin Herald (Red): Not a direct copy maker, but interacts with legendary spells.
  • Rionya, Fire Dancer (Red): Creates token copies of creatures with haste, exiled at end step.
  • Adriana, Captain of the Guard (Red/White): Not copies, but buffs creatures by the number of opponents.
  • Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker (Red): Copies nontoken creatures, token has haste, sacrifices at end step.

Reason: Few cards copy legendary creatures and care about the legend rule as specifically as Cadric, Soul Kindler, but Jaxis, the Troublemaker and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker are mechanically the closest in RW colors.

    Melee

    Rules

  • Creatures that enter the battlefield attacking were never declared as attackers, so they won't count toward melee's effect. Similarly, if a creature with melee enters the battlefield attacking, melee won't trigger.
  • It doesn't matter how many creatures you attacked a player with, only that you attacked a player with at least one creature. For example, if you attack one player with Wings of the Guard and another player with five creatures, Wings of the Guard will get +2/+2 until end of turn.
  • Melee will trigger if the creature with melee attacks a planeswalker. However, the effect counts only opponents (and not planeswalkers) that you attacked with a creature when determining the bonus.
  • You determine the size of the bonus as the melee ability resolves. Count each opponent that you attacked with one or more creatures. It doesn't matter if the attacking creatures are still attacking or even if they are still on the battlefield. It also doesn't matter if the opponent you attacked is still in the game.

    Copy

    Rules

  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied permanent will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any “As [this permanent] enters the battlefield” or “[This permanent] enters the battlefield with” abilities of the copied permanent will also work.
  • If the copied permanent has {X} in its mana cost, X is 0.
  • If the copied permanent is copying something else, the token enters the battlefield as whatever that permanent is copying.
  • If the legendary permanent that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, no longer under the same player’s control, or no longer legendary when the triggered ability resolves, the ability’s controller may still pay {1} to copy it. If it’s no longer on the battlefield, use its copiable characteristics as it last existed on the battlefield to determine the characteristics of the token copy.
  • If, while you control Cadric, Soul Kindler, you also control a token legendary permanent and a single nontoken legendary permanent with the same name, the legend rule will not cause you to put either one into your graveyard.
  • If, while you control Cadric, Soul Kindler, you also control more than one nontoken legendary permanent with the same name and at least one token legendary permanent with that name, the legend rule applies to only the nontoken permanents. You must choose one of the nontoken permanents to keep and put the rest of the nontoken permanents with that name into your graveyard. You may not choose one of the token permanents and you may not put any of the tokens into your graveyard this way.
  • The token copies exactly what is printed on the permanent and nothing else (unless that creature is copying something else or is a token; see below). It doesn’t copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and/or Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on.

The "legend rule" doesn't apply to tokens you control. Whenever another nontoken legendary permanent you control enters, you may pay . If you do, create a token that's a copy of it. That token gains haste.Sacrificeit at the beginning of the next end step.

    Rules

  • In some unusual situations, you may lose control of Flamekin Herald during the process of casting a commander spell. In those situations, the commander spell won't have cascade.
  • Once you announce that you're casting a commander spell, players can't take action until you've finished casting it. Causing Flamekin Herald to leave the battlefield after the spell has been cast won't stop its cascade ability from resolving.
  • A spell's mana value is determined only by its mana cost. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions.
  • Cascade triggers when you cast the spell, meaning that it resolves before that spell. If you end up casting the exiled card, it will go on the stack above the spell with cascade.
  • Due to a 2021 rules change to cascade, not only do you stop exiling cards if you exile a nonland card with lesser mana value than the spell with cascade, but the resulting spell you cast must also have lesser mana value. Previously, in cases where a card's mana value differed from the resulting spell, such as with some modal double-faced cards or cards with an Adventure, you could cast a spell with a higher mana value than the exiled card.
  • If a spell with cascade is countered, the cascade ability will still resolve normally.
  • If the card has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the card.
  • The mana value of a split card is determined by the combined mana cost of its two halves. If cascade allows you to cast a split card, you may cast either half but not both halves.
  • When the cascade ability resolves, you must exile cards. The only optional part of the ability is whether or not you cast the last card exiled.
  • You exile the cards face up. All players will be able to see them.

Commander spells you cast have cascade. (Whenever you cast a commander, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card with lesser mana value. You may cast it without paying its mana cost. Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order.)

    Rules

  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any "as [this permanent] enters the battlefield" or "[this permanent] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the copied creature card will also work.
  • If Jaxis, the Troublemaker's ability creates multiple tokens due to a replacement effect (such as the one Doubling Season creates), you'll sacrifice each of them at the beginning of the next end step.
  • If a copied creature is a token that isn't a copy of something else, the copy copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that created it.
  • If a copied creature is copying something else, the token you create will use the copiable values of the target creature. In most cases, it will just be a copy of whatever that creature is copying.
  • If a creature enters the battlefield as a copy of or becomes a copy of a creature whose blitz cost was paid, the copy won't have haste, won't be sacrificed, and its controller won't draw a card when it dies.
  • If another creature becomes a copy of, or enters the battlefield as a copy of, the token, that creature will copy the creature card the token is copying. However, it won't have either haste or "When this creature dies, draw a card," and you won't sacrifice the new copy at the beginning of the next end step.
  • If the copied creature has {X} in its mana cost, X is 0.
  • If you choose to pay the blitz cost rather than the mana cost, you're still casting the spell. It goes on the stack and can be responded to and countered. You can cast a creature spell for its blitz cost only if you could cast that creature spell. Most of the time, this means during your main phase when the stack is empty.
  • If you pay the blitz cost to cast a creature spell, that permanent will be sacrificed only if it's still on the battlefield when that triggered ability resolves. If it dies or goes to another zone before then, it will stay where it is.
  • The token copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing else (unless it's copying a creature that's a token or that's copying something else; see below). It doesn't copy whether the creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and/or Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on. Most notably, if the target creature isn't normally a creature, the copy won't be a creature.
  • The triggered ability that lets its controller draw a card triggers when it dies for any reason, not just when you sacrifice it during the end step.
  • You don't have to attack with the creature with blitz unless another ability says you do.
