"Find me cards equivalent to: Celestial Dawn"

Cards equivalent to Celestial Dawn (white enchantments that change mana or color identity):
1. Nylea's Presence — Makes lands all basic land types, but is green.
2. Conspiracy — Creature type changer, black, not color identity.
3. Painter's Servant — Makes all cards a chosen color, but is an artifact.
4. Closest in white: Conversion — Makes all Mountains into Plains.
5. Stormtide Leviathan — All lands are Islands (blue, not an enchantment).

Reason: Celestial Dawn has unique color and mana identity effects in white; closest match is Conversion, but it only changes lands.

So, the list in color and type:

  • Celestial Dawn
  • Conversion
  • No direct white enchantment with all of Dawn’s effects

  • Celestial Dawn does not change the type of lands which are not on the battlefield. Lands not on the battlefield are what they say they are.
  • Celestial Dawn no longer changes mana symbols on cards.
  • If you pay white mana to activate an ability that can only be activated by spending another color of mana, then any limitations on activating the ability (such as the number of times it can be activated each turn) still apply as if you spent the proper color.
  • The effect to turn all your non-land cards (including artifacts) white is the effect of a static ability. Thus, a color change on a permanent prior to Celestial Dawn entering the battlefield will be overridden by Celestial Dawn's effect.
  • Will not add or remove Snow Supertype from a land.
  • You may use a different color mana than the color required for spells and abilities that require a specific color. If you do, and the spell or ability checks the actual color of the mana, it can tell the difference.
  • If a permanent enters while Celestial Dawn is on the battlefield, and then Celestial Dawn leaves the battlefield, the permanent's color will revert to the colors in its mana cost.
  • If you have unspent nonwhite mana when Celestial Dawn enters, you still have that mana, but you can spend it only on the colorless part of costs.
  • If you use a text-changing effect such as Mind Bend on Celestial Dawn to change the word "Plains" to a different land type, your lands are all of that new land type, and they will produce mana of the appropriate color for that type.
  • Land cards you own that aren't on the battlefield aren't changed to Plains.
  • Mana produced by spells you control and nonland permanents you control isn't affected by Celestial Dawn. Llanowar Elves will produce {G}, for example. However, any colored mana may be spent only on the colorless part of costs.
  • If a nonbasic land has an ability that causes it to enter the battlefield tapped, it will lose that ability before it applies. The same is also true of any other abilities that modify how a land enters the battlefield or apply "as" a land enters the battlefield, such as the first ability of Cavern of Souls.

Lands you control are Plains. Nonland permanents you control are white. The same is true for spells you control and nonland cards you own that aren't on the battlefield. You may spend white mana as though it were mana of any color. You may spend other mana only as though it were colorless mana.

  • It does not replace any use of creature types in card text.
  • This can grant a creature type to animated lands and artifacts that would otherwise have no creature type.
  • "Legend" is no longer a creature type, and may not be chosen.
  • If you choose Wall, then your creatures can still attack because creature types don't confer abilities such as defender (any more than, say, choosing creature type Bird would confer flying).
  • Affected spells, cards, and creatures lose all of their other creature types.
  • Replacement effects that modify creatures of a certain type as they enter the battlefield will apply (or not apply) after you apply this effect. For example, if Warrior is the chosen creature type and you control Bramblewood Paragon, a Runeclaw Bear would enter the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 counter.

  • Giving a land extra basic land types doesn't change its name or whether it's legendary or basic.
  • If the target of an Aura is illegal when it tries to resolve, the Aura won't resolve. The Aura doesn't enter the battlefield, so you won't get to draw a card.
  • The enchanted land will have the land types Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest. It will also have the mana ability of each basic land type (for example, Forests can tap to produce {G}). It still has its other subtypes and abilities.

    Rules

  • Each card becomes a new object as it changes zones, so this effect will apply to it from scratch in the new zone. However, replacement effects that care about the color of permanents entering the battlefield (like "[color] permanents enter tapped") will apply to permanents entering if that color was chosen for Painter's Servant because Painter's Servant's effect applies simultaneously with those permanents entering the battlefield. Zone-change triggered abilities that care about the new color (like "whenever a [color] permanent enters" or "whenever you cast a [color] spell") will also work.
  • If something affected by Painter's Servant is normally colorless, it will simply be the new color. It won't be both the new color and colorless.
  • The effects of multiple Painter's Servants are cumulative.
  • This ability affects every card in every game zone, all tokens on the battlefield, and all spell copies on the stack, regardless of who controls or owns them.
  • This ability doesn't overwrite any previous colors. Rather, it adds another color.
  • While Painter's Servant is on the battlefield, an effect that changes an object's colors will overwrite Painter's Servant's effect. For example, casting Cerulean Wisps on a creature will turn it blue, regardless of the color chosen for Painter's Servant.

    Landwalk

    Rules

  • If Stormtide Leviathan loses its abilities, all lands on the battlefield (including those that enter the battlefield later on) will still be Islands in addition to their other types and will still be able to tap to produce {U}. The way continuous effects work, Stormtide Leviathan's type-changing ability is applied before the effect that removes that ability is applied.
  • Islandwalk cares about lands with the land type Island, not necessarily lands named Island.
  • Stormtide Leviathan's second ability causes each land on the battlefield to have the land type Island. Each land thus has the ability "{T}: Add {U}." Nothing else changes about those lands, including their names, other subtypes, other abilities, and whether they're legendary or basic.
  • Stormtide Leviathan's third ability affects all creatures with neither flying nor islandwalk, regardless of who controls them. They can't attack any player or planeswalker.
