  • Herald of Kozilek (colorless + blue/red, reduces colorless spells)
  • Sage of the Beyond (blue, reduces Foretell costs)
  • Biomancer's Familiar (green/blue, reduces activated abilities' costs)

Short reason: Exact Centaur Omenreader (cost reduction for creatures) is rare, but similar effects exist for different spell types or under different restrictions in blue/green.

  • Activated abilities contain a colon. They’re generally written “[Cost]: [Effect].” Some keyword abilities are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text. Triggered abilities (starting with “when,” “whenever,” or “at”) are unaffected by the cost reduction ability of Biomancer’s Familiar.
  • An ability that has only one generic mana and some amount of other mana symbols in its activation cost will have its cost reduced by {1}.
  • Biomancer’s Familiar affects only abilities of creatures you control on the battlefield. The costs of activated abilities of creature cards that work in other zones (such as cycling) won’t be reduced.
  • The last ability of Biomancer’s Familiar doesn’t add or remove any counters. It just lets the creature adapt despite already having +1/+1 counters on it.

Activated abilities of creatures you control cost less to activate. This effect can't reduce the mana in that cost to less than one mana. : The next time target creature adapts this turn, it adapts as though it had no +1/+1 counters on it.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Devoid

    Rules

  • A card with devoid is just colorless. It's not colorless and the colors of mana in its mana cost.
  • Cards with devoid use frames that are variations of the transparent frame traditionally used for Eldrazi. The top part of the card features some color over a background based on the texture of the hedrons that once imprisoned the Eldrazi. This coloration is intended to aid deckbuilding and game play.
  • Devoid works in all zones, not just on the battlefield.
  • Herald of Kozilek's last ability can't reduce the amount of colored mana you pay for a spell. It reduces only the generic component of that mana cost.
  • Herald of Kozilek's last ability doesn't change the mana cost or mana value of any spell. It changes only the total cost you actually pay.
  • If a card loses devoid, it will still be colorless. This is because effects that change an object's color (like the one created by devoid) are considered before the object loses devoid.
  • If a colorless spell you cast has {X} in its mana cost, you choose the value of X before calculating the spell's total cost. For example, if that spell's mana cost is {X}, you could choose 5 as the value of X and pay {4} to cast the spell.
  • If there are additional costs to cast a spell, or if the cost to cast a spell is increased by an effect, apply those increases before applying cost reductions.
  • Other cards and abilities can give a card with devoid color. If that happens, it's just the new color, not that color and colorless.
  • The cost reduction can apply to alternative costs.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Flying Foretell

    Rules

  • Because exiling a card with foretell from your hand is a special action, you can do so any time you have priority during your turn, including in response to spells and abilities. Once you announce you're taking the action, no other player can respond by trying to remove the card from your hand.
  • Casting a foretold card from exile follows the timing rules for that card. If you foretell an instant card, you can cast it as soon as the next player's turn. In most cases, if you foretell a card that isn't an instant (or doesn't have flash), you'll have to wait until your next turn to cast it.
  • If you're casting a foretold card from exile for its foretell cost, you can't choose to cast it for any other alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, those must be paid to cast the spell.
  • The cost reduction applies only to generic mana in the costs of spells you cast from anywhere other than your hand. It can't reduce requirements of a specific color of mana.
  • To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions (such as that of Sage of the Beyond). The mana value of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
