"Find me cards equivalent to: Dino DNA"

Equivalent artifact cards (colorless) with similar imprint or graveyard copying effects:
1. Prototype Portal – Imprint: Exiles an artifact card, then lets you create tokens of it.
2. Soul Foundry – Imprint: Exiles a creature card, then lets you make tokens of it.
3. Panoptic Mirror – Imprint: Exiles an instant or sorcery, then lets you cast copies.
4. Dino DNA – Included as requested.

These are all colorless artifacts that use the imprint mechanic to exile a card, then use that exiled card somehow. Soul Foundry is the closest for copying creatures.

  • As Panoptic Mirror's triggered ability resolves, it allows you to create a copy of one of the instant or sorcery cards imprinted on Panoptic Mirror in the Exile zone (that's where the imprinted card is) and then cast it without paying its mana cost.
  • Exiling a card when the activated ability resolves is optional. If you choose to exile a card, you can exile only a card with mana value equal to X.
  • The triggered ability triggers only once each upkeep, not once per imprinted card. If no cards are imprinted on Panoptic Mirror when the triggered ability resolves, it does nothing.
  • You don't pay the spell's mana cost. If the spell has X in its mana cost, X is 0. You do pay any additional costs for that spell. You can't use any alternative costs.
  • You may imprint a card on Panoptic Mirror in response to the upkeep-triggered ability. If you do, that card is available to copy when the triggered ability resolves.
  • The creation of the copy and then the casting of the copy are both optional.
  • To imprint a split card, you pay X equal to card's mana value, determined by the combined mana cost of its two halves. If the copied card is a split card, you choose which one side of it to cast, but you can't cast both sides.

  • Any "enters" abilities of the exiled card will trigger when the token is put onto the battlefield. Any "as [this permanent] enters" or "[this permanent] enters with" abilities of the exiled card will also work.
  • If Prototype Portal has left the battlefield by the time its second ability resolves, you'll still put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of the exiled card. On the other hand, if Prototype Portal is still on the battlefield at this time but there is no exiled card (because, perhaps, Riftsweeper's ability caused the exiled card to be put into its owner's library), no token is created.
  • If the exiled card has {X} in its mana cost (such as Chalice of the Void), that X is considered to be 0. The {X} in Prototype Portal's activation cost takes this into account, though it may be greater than 0 if the exiled card has other mana symbols in its mana cost (such as Riptide Replicator).
  • You don't choose the value of {X}. Rather, the value of X is defined by the activated ability.
  • You may not activate the second ability if no card has been exiled with Prototype Portal. In that case, the value of {X} is undefined and can't be paid.

  • You do not get a chance to pay any optional costs, such as Kicker, on the imprinted card.
  • Most creature tokens have no mana cost and a mana value of 0, but a creature token put onto the battlefield by Soul Foundry has the same mana cost and mana value as the card it copies.
  • Soul Foundry puts a token copy of the imprinted card onto the battlefield. The token is put onto the battlefield, not cast.
  • The token is an exact copy in every way, except that it's a token, not a card.
