"Find me cards equivalent to: Dracogenesis"

Closest equivalents to Dracogenesis:
1. Sneak Attack (R, Enchantment) — Allows cheating creatures into play (not dragons specifically, and they get sacrificed).
2. Rampaging Ferocidon (R, Enchantment creature) — Not equivalent for free casting, but dragon synergy.
3. Lurking Predators (G, Enchantment) — Not red, but cheats creatures into play.
4. Havoc Festival (R, Enchantment) — Very different effect; included for red enchantments, not for free casting.
5. Fires of Invention (R, Enchantment) — Lets you cast spells for free (with restrictions).

Closest actual equivalent: Fires of Invention is red, an enchantment, and allows you to cast spells without paying mana, though it doesn't restrict to dragons.

Reason:
There is no direct red enchantment that lets you cast only Dragon spells for free. Fires of Invention is the nearest in functionality but is more generic.

  • If a spell has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a spell “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the spell has any mandatory additional costs those must be paid to cast the spell.
  • Once you cast Dracogenesis, if it’s your turn, you’ll have priority immediately after it resolves. You can cast another spell before any player can attempt to remove Dracogenesis with spells or abilities.
  • You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions of each Dragon spell you cast this way.

    Rules

  • Fires of Invention doesn't impose any restrictions on playing lands or activating abilities.
  • Fires of Invention will look at the entire turn to see if you've cast two spells yet that turn, even if Fires of Invention wasn't on the battlefield when those spells were cast. Notably, you can't cast Fires of Invention and then cast two more spells that turn; if Fires of Invention was your second (or third, or fourth) spell that turn, you can't cast another spell at all.
  • If a spell has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If an effect allows or instructs you to cast a spell during another player's turn, you can't do so. The restriction of Fires of Invention takes precedence over that permission. Similarly, if an effect allows or instructs you to cast a third spell during your turn, you can't do so.
  • If an effect says that you may cast a card that you couldn't otherwise cast if you pay an alternative cost (such as the flashback keyword), you have to pay that alternative cost if you use that permission to cast the card. You can't choose to cast it but cast it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs (such as that of Fling), you must pay those to cast the card.
  • If you cast a spell that was countered, it still counts as one of your two spells.
  • If you cast one card twice during a turn (such as by casting it as an Adventure and then casting it from exile as a creature), you've cast two spells.
  • You may choose to pay the mana cost or an alternative cost for spells you cast, even if their mana value is less than or equal to the number of lands you control.

  • Effects that would replace gaining life with another effect won’t apply because it’s impossible for players to gain life.
  • If an effect says to set a player’s life total to a certain number and that number is higher than the player’s current life total, that part of the effect won’t do anything. (If the number is lower than the player’s current life total, the effect will work as normal.)
  • In a Two-Headed Giant game, the last ability triggers for each player. Any life loss is applied to the team’s life total. For example, if the team has 30 life, the first ability will cause the player (and thus the team) to lose 15 life and then the second ability will cause the other player (and thus the team) to lose 8 life. The team will end up having 7 life.
  • Spells and abilities that would cause a player to gain life still resolve, but the life-gain part has no effect.
  • The amount of life lost is calculated when the triggered ability resolves. For example, if a player has 20 life and there are two Havoc Festivals on the battlefield, the first ability will cause that player to lose 10 life and then the second ability will cause that player to lose 5 life.

  • A "creature card" is any card with the type creature, even if it has other types such as artifact, enchantment, or land. Older cards of type summon are also creature cards.
  • If an opponent casts a spell, this ability triggers and is put on the stack on top of that spell. This ability will resolve (meaning that a revealed creature card will enter) before the spell resolves.
  • You must put the revealed card onto the battlefield if it's a creature card. If it's not a creature card and you don't put it on the bottom of your library, it stops being revealed and simply remains on top of your library.
