"Find me cards equivalent to: High Fae Trickster"

Equivalent cards to High Fae Trickster (blue creatures, flash, flying, let you cast spells as though they had flash):
1. Vedalken Orrery (not a creature, but blue and gives all spells flash; just for reference)
2. Yeva, Nature's Herald (green, close in function, but not blue)
3. Alchemist's Refuge (land, but lets any spells be cast as though they had flash)

Closest blue creatures:

  • Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir — Blue creature, flash, lets you cast creature cards as though they had flash.
  • Quickling — Blue, flash, flying (doesn’t grant flash to spells, but otherwise similar).
  • Snapcaster Mage — Blue, flash, not flying, doesn’t grant flash to other spells.

None are exact, but Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir is the closest for blue and flash-granting. For full effect, use High Fae Trickster.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Flash

    Rules

  • "Flashback [cost]" means "You may cast this card from your graveyard if the resulting spell is an instant or sorcery spell by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost" and "If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack."
  • A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.
  • If a card has multiple instances of flashback, you may choose any of its flashback costs to pay.
  • If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it's legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.
  • If a card with no mana cost gains flashback, it has no flashback cost. It can't be cast this way.
  • If a split card gains flashback, you pay only the cost of the half you're casting.
  • If you cast a spell with flashback, you can't pay any alternative costs such as overload costs. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs. If the spell has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the spell with flashback.
  • If you cast an instant or sorcery with {X} in its mana cost this way, you still choose the value of X as part of casting the spell and pay that cost.
  • To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The mana value of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
  • You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.
  • You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card's type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using flashback only when you could normally cast a sorcery.

    Rules

  • If a spell on the stack has split second while you control Teferi, you can't suspend creature cards since split second stops you from casting them, even though suspending them is a special action.
  • If a spell or ability lets an opponent cast a spell as part of its effect (such as suspend and rebound do), that opponent can't cast that spell since the resolving ability is still on the stack. This is true even if the spell is an instant.
  • If an effect allows an opponent to cast spells any time they could cast an instant (for example, if your opponent also controls Teferi), the restriction of Teferi's last ability takes precedence over that permission.
  • Teferi's last ability means that in order for an opponent to cast a spell, it must be that opponent's turn, during a main phase, and the stack must be empty. This is true even if a rule or effect allows a sorcery to be cast at another time.
  • While you control Teferi, you may exile creature cards in your hand with suspend any time you could cast an instant.
