AI 🤖 Find me cards equivalent to: Illuna, Apex of Wishes

Equivalent cards to Illuna, Apex of Wishes (Temur colors: blue, red, green) that focus on mutate or similar top-of-library casting effects:
1. Nethroi, Apex of Death (mutate, but Abzan)
2. Otrimi, the Ever-Playful (black/green/blue; mutate)
3. Vadrok, Apex of Thunder (blue/red/white; mutate, but no green)
4. Vadrik, Astral Archmage (blue/red; top-deck/casting synergies; no green)
5. Atla Palani, Nest Tender (red/white/green; top-deck creature play)
6. Maelstrom Wanderer (red/green/blue; chaos/cascade/cast-from-library)

Reason: Few Temur creatures use Mutate, but the above have similar color identity and/or mechanics (mutate, top-deck interaction, or cascade). No direct Temur mutate alternative exists.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Flying Mutate Trample

    Rules

  • A nonland permanent card is an artifact, creature, enchantment, or planeswalker card.
  • Any land, instant, and sorcery cards exiled this way remain in exile.
  • If an Aura is put onto the battlefield without being cast, the Aura's controller-to-be chooses what it will enchant as it enters the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way doesn't target anything (so it could be attached to an opponent's permanent with hexproof, for example), but the Aura's enchant ability restricts what it can be attached to. If the Aura can't legally be attached to anything, it remains in its current zone.
  • Illuna's last ability exiles the cards face up. All players will see what the card is if you put it into your hand.
  • You choose whether to put the card into your hand or onto the battlefield after seeing what the card is.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Cascade

    Rules

  • Each instance of cascade triggers and resolves separately. The spell you cast due to the first cascade ability will go on the stack on top of the second cascade ability. That spell will resolve before you exile cards for the second cascade ability.
  • Maelstrom Wanderer gives itself haste.
  • No matter what spell you cast with the first cascade trigger (or with any cascade triggers that result from casting that spell), the second cascade trigger will look for a spell with mana value less than Maelstrom Wanderer's mana value of 8.
  • A spell's mana value is determined only by its mana cost. Ignore any alternative costs, additional costs, cost increases, or cost reductions.
  • Cascade triggers when you cast the spell, meaning that it resolves before that spell. If you end up casting the exiled card, it will go on the stack above the spell with cascade.
  • Due to a 2021 rules change to cascade, not only do you stop exiling cards if you exile a nonland card with lesser mana value than the spell with cascade, but the resulting spell you cast must also have lesser mana value. Previously, in cases where a card's mana value differed from the resulting spell, such as with some modal double-faced cards or cards with an Adventure, you could cast a spell with a higher mana value than the exiled card.
  • If a spell with cascade is countered, the cascade ability will still resolve normally.
  • If the card has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
  • If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the card.
  • The mana value of a split card is determined by the combined mana cost of its two halves. If cascade allows you to cast a split card, you may cast either half but not both halves.
  • When the cascade ability resolves, you must exile cards. The only optional part of the ability is whether or not you cast the last card exiled.
  • You exile the cards face up. All players will be able to see them.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Deathtouch Lifelink Mutate

    Rules

  • If the power of the target creature cards change while in your graveyard, most likely because one has a characteristic-defining ability that defines a * in its power, the total power of the creatures may become greater than 10. If this happens, the entire selection of targets is illegal and nothing is returned to the battlefield.
  • Nethroi's triggered ability can return any combination of creatures whose powers total 10 or less. For example, it could target ten 1/1 creature cards, two 5/5 creature cards, and so on. Regardless of what other creature cards you choose as targets, you can also choose any number of creature cards with power 0 as targets.
  • Use the power of the creature cards as they exist in your graveyard to determine whether they can be the targets of Nethroi's triggered ability. For example, a 0/0 creature card that will enter the battlefield as a copy of a 15/15 creature can be returned, as can five 0/0 creature cards that will each enter the battlefield with three +1/+1 counters on them.

    Rules

  • All costs to cast a spell are locked in before mana abilities are activated and those costs are paid. If Vadrik's power changes after costs are locked in, or if Vadrik leaves the battlefield while you are activating mana abilities or paying those costs, the cost reduction effect won't be affected and the total cost to cast the spell won't change.
  • Before a player untaps their permanents during the untap step, the game checks to see if the day/night designation should change.
  • Day and night are designations that the game itself can have. The game starts as neither. Once the game becomes day (or less commonly, night), the game will be exactly one of them—day or night—going back and forth for the rest of the game.
  • If a triggered ability triggers whenever day becomes night or night becomes day, it only triggers if it was already either day/night and becomes the other. It does not trigger when the game becomes day or night for the first time.
  • If it is day, and the active player of the previous turn cast no spells during their turn, it becomes night.
  • If it is night, and the active player of the previous turn cast two or more spells during their turn, it becomes day.
