"Find me cards equivalent to: Knacksaw Clique"

Equivalent cards (Blue, exile/play opponent's cards):

  • Knacksaw Clique (your search)
  • Nightveil Specter: Blue/Black, exiles top card of opponent's library, you may play that card.
  • Thief of Sanity: Blue/Black, exiles top 3 cards on combat damage, you may play one.
  • Gonti, Lord of Luxury: Black (not blue, but often searched), exiles top 4, cast one.

Reason: There are no exact mono-blue equivalents, but Nightveil Specter is closest—shares color, creature type, and similar exile/play mechanic.

  • An effect that instructs you to "cast" a card doesn't allow you to play lands.
  • Casting the card causes it to leave exile. You can't cast it multiple times.
  • Gonti doesn't change when you can cast the exiled card. For example, if you exile a creature card without flash, you can cast it only during your main phase when the stack is empty.
  • If you leave the game, the card remains exiled face down indefinitely. No player may look at it.
  • You may look at and cast that card (and spend mana as though it were mana of any type to do so) even if Gonti leaves the battlefield. If another player gains control of Gonti, that player can't look at or cast the card, and you still can.
  • You pay the costs for the exiled card if you cast it. You may pay alternative costs such as emerge rather than the card's mana cost.
  • The six types of mana are white, blue, black, red, green, and colorless. Snow mana is not a type of mana. Gonti, Lord of Luxury won't let you pay a snow cost using mana produced by a nonsnow source.

Deathtouch When Gonti enters, look at the top four cards of target opponent's library, exile one of them face down, then put the rest on the bottom of that library in a random order. You may cast that card for as long as it remains exiled, and mana of any type can be spent to cast that spell.

  • If a creature with an {Q} ability hasn’t been under your control since your most recent turn began, you can’t activate that ability, unless the creature has haste.
  • If the permanent is already untapped, you can’t activate its {Q} ability. That’s because you can’t pay the “Untap this permanent” cost.
  • If you don’t play the exiled card that turn, it remains exiled but you can’t play it.
  • The exiled card is played using the normal timing rules for its card type, as well as any other applicable restrictions such as “Cast [this card] only during combat.” For example, you can’t play the card during an opponent’s turn unless it’s an instant or has flash. Similarly, if the exiled card is a land, you can’t play it if you’ve already played a land that turn. If it’s a nonland card, you’ll have to pay its mana cost. The only thing that’s different is you’re playing it from the Exile zone.
  • When you activate an {Q} ability, you untap the creature with that ability as a cost. The untap can’t be responded to. (The actual ability can be responded to, of course.)

  • Nightveil Specter’s last ability applies to cards exiled with that specific Nightveil Specter, not any other creature named Nightveil Specter. You should keep cards exiled by different Nightveil Specters separate.
  • Playing a card exiled with Nightveil Specter follows all the normal rules for playing that card. You must pay its costs, and you must follow all timing restrictions, for example.
  • The card is exiled face up. All players may look at it.

  • An effect that instructs you to "cast" a card doesn't allow you to play lands.
  • Casting an exiled card causes it to leave exile. You can't cast it multiple times.
  • In a multiplayer game, if a player leaves the game, all cards that player owns leave as well. If you leave the game, any spells or permanents you control from Thief of Sanity's effect are exiled, and any of the face-down exiled cards remain face down indefinitely. No player may look at them.
  • Thief of Sanity's effect doesn't change when you can cast the exiled card. For example, if you exile a sorcery card, you can cast it only during your main phase when the stack is empty.
  • You can still cast the exiled card if Thief of Sanity leaves the battlefield or leaves your control. If another player gains control of Thief of Sanity, that player can't cast the exiled card.
