"Find me cards equivalent to: Mirrorform"

No exact equivalent to Mirrorform (an instant, blue, that makes each nonland permanent you control a copy of another) exists. The closest is Mirrorweave (instant, blue/white, makes all creatures copies of a creature).

Examples:

  • Mirrorweave – All creatures become a copy of target creature until end of turn.
  • Sudden Substitution – You exchange control of noncreature spells/permanents but has a different effect.
  • Clone Legion (sorcery, blue) – Copies all creatures for you, but is not instant, nor does it hit all permanents.

Reason: Mirrorform's effect is unique; blue instants with mass copying are limited and typically target creatures.

    Rules

  • A token that enters the battlefield as a copy of a face-down creature is a face-up colorless 2/2 creature with no name, abilities, or creature types.
  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any "as [this permanent] enters the battlefield" or "[this permanent] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the copied creature will also work.
  • Each token copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing else (unless that permanent is copying something else or is a token; see below). It doesn't copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on.
  • If the copied creature has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be zero.
  • If the copied creature is a token, the token created by Clone Legion copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that put the token onto the battlefield.
  • If the copied creature is copying something else, then the token enters the battlefield as whatever that creature copied.
  • Remember that if you control more than one legendary permanent with the same name, you'll choose one to remain on the battlefield and put the rest into their owners' graveyards.
  • The token creatures all enter the battlefield at the same time.

  • Because the permanents aren't entering the battlefield when they become copies of the target permanent, any "When [this permanent] enters" or "[This permanent] enters with" abilities of the copied permanent won't apply.
  • If the copied permanent has {X} in its mana cost, X is 0.
  • If the copied permanent is copying something else, then the permanents become copies of whatever that permanent copied.
  • The permanents copy exactly what was printed on the original permanent and nothing else (unless that permanent is copying something else; see below). Rules

  • As the turn ends, the other creatures revert to what they were before. If two Mirrorweaves are cast on the same turn, they’ll both wear off at the same time.
  • Each other creature copies the printed values of the targeted creature, plus any copy effects that have been applied to that creature. They won’t copy other effects that have changed the targeted creature’s power, toughness, types, color, or so on. They also won’t copy counters on the targeted creature (they’ll each just retain the counters they already have).
  • If the targeted creature is a token, each other creature copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that put it onto the battlefield. Those creatures don’t become tokens.
  • If the targeted creature is itself copying a creature, each other creature will become whatever it’s copying, as modified by that copy effect. For example, if you target a Cemetery Puca that’s copying a Grizzly Bears (a 2/2 creature with no abilities), each other creature will become a Grizzly Bears with the Cemetery Puca ability.
  • Noncopy effects that have already applied to the other creatures will continue to apply to them. For example, if Giant Growth had given one of them +3/+3 earlier in the turn, then Mirrorweave made it a copy of Grizzly Bears, it will be a 5/5 Grizzly Bears.
  • This effect can cause each other creature to stop being a creature. For example, if you target an animated Mutavault (a land with an activated ability that turns it into a creature), only the printed wording will be copied — the “becomes a creature” effect won’t. Each other creature will become an unanimated Mutavault.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Rules

  • A mana ability is an ability that produces mana, not an ability that costs mana.
  • If a permanent spell is exchanged this way, its new controller will control the permanent it becomes.
  • If the exchange doesn't happen but the spell is still a legal target, its controller may choose new targets for it.
  • If the target spell or the target creature is an illegal target as Sudden Substitution resolves, the exchange won't happen. If both targets are legal but are both controlled by the same player, the exchange won't happen.
  • In a multiplayer game, if the controller of one of the objects leaves the game after Sudden Substitution resolves, the effect that gave them control of the spell or permanent expires. If the spell is still on the stack, the player who gains control of it this way can't choose new targets for it.
  • The exchange lasts indefinitely. It doesn't expire for the spell if the creature changes zones or leaves the game, or vice versa.
  • The noncreature spell is still on the stack after exchanging control, and the creature is still on the battlefield.
  • After a spell with split second resolves (or otherwise leaves the stack), players may again cast spells and activate abilities before the next object on the stack resolves.
  • Casting a spell with split second won't affect spells and abilities that are already on the stack.
  • If the resolution of a triggered ability involves casting a spell, that spell can't be cast if a spell with split second is on the stack.
  • Players may turn face-down creatures face up while a spell with split second is on the stack.
  • Players still get priority while a card with split second is on the stack; their options are just limited to mana abilities and certain special actions.
  • Split second doesn't stop triggered abilities from triggering, such as that of Chalice of the Void. If one does, its controller puts it on the stack and chooses targets for it, if any. Those abilities will resolve as normal.

Split second (As long as this spell is on the stack, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.) Exchange control of target noncreature spell and target creature. Then the spell's controller may choose new targets for it.
