"Find me cards equivalent to: Nessian Boar"

Equivalent cards to Nessian Boar (green, forces all creatures to block, gives cards to blockers' controllers) include:
1. Taunting Elf – Forces all creatures able to block it to do so (no card draw, but similar effect).
2. Tempting Licid – Can force all creatures to block it.
3. Lure (enchantment) – Gives a creature the same must be blocked ability (often used on green creatures).
4. Nemesis Mask (equipment) – Forces all creatures to block equipped creature.
5. Nessian Boar – The only one with the draw effect you described.

Reason: Few green cards combine both forced blocking and drawing cards as a result. Most similar effects just force blocks.

  • As blockers are declared, any creature that’s tapped or affected by a spell or ability that says it can’t block doesn’t block. If there’s a cost associated with having the creature block, no player is forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t block if that cost isn’t paid.
  • Lure doesn’t give any creatures the ability to block the target creature. It just forces those creatures that are already able to block the creature to do so.

    Rules

  • If a creature can’t block Nessian Boar for any reason (such as being tapped), then it doesn’t block. If there’s a cost associated with having it block, the player isn’t forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t have to block in that case either. If there’s a cost associated with having it block Nessian Boar, but not to block other attacking creatures, that creature is free to block one of those other creatures or to not block at all.
  • If a creature is required to block two or more different creatures, its controller chooses which one that creature blocks.
  • Nessian Boar’s second ability resolves before combat damage is dealt, and players have priority to cast spells (such as the cards the defending player just drew) after the ability has resolved but before combat damage is dealt.
  • Nessian Boar’s second ability triggers for each creature blocking it.

  • If a spell that can target enchantments but not creatures (such as Clear) is cast targeting the Licid after it has become an enchantment, but the Licid's controller pays the cost, the Licid will no longer be an enchantment. This will result in the spell failing to resolve for having no legal targets.
  • Paying the cost to end the effect is a special action and can't be responded to.
