Cards similar to Persuasive Interrogators (type: Creature, color: Black, investigates and cares about sacrificing Clues, adds poison counters):
1. Sanguine Spy — investigates when it attacks (not exactly Clue-focused).
2. Vraska, Betrayal's Sting — black, gives poison counters, but not tied to Clues.
3. Deadly Dispute — black, sacrifices an artifact (can be a Clue), draws cards, but no poison.
4. Tireless Hauler — BG, investigates, but not mono-black and no poison.

    Investigate

    Rules

  • Clue is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some cards with other permanent types, it's never a creature type, a land type, or anything but an artifact type.
  • If an effect refers to a Clue, it means any Clue artifact, not just a Clue artifact token. For example, you can sacrifice Wrench to pay for Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth's activated ability.
  • Some abilities trigger "whenever you sacrifice a Clue". Those abilities trigger whenever you sacrifice a Clue for any reason, not just to activate a Clue's activated ability.
  • Some spells and abilities that investigate may require targets. If each target chosen is an illegal target as that spell or ability tries to resolve, it won't resolve. You won't create any Clue tokens.
  • You can't sacrifice a Clue to pay multiple costs. For example, you can't sacrifice a Clue token to activate its own ability and also to activate Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth's ability.

    Rules

  • Sanguine Spy's triggered ability checks the number of mana values among cards you control both when the ability triggers and when it resolves. If you no longer have five or more mana values among those cards when the ability resolves, you may not pay 2 life.
  • The mana value of a double-faced card in your graveyard is always the mana value of the front face.
  • The mana value of a land card is 0.
  • The mana value of a split card in the graveyard is the total mana value of both halves of that card. It does not have two mana values.
  • X is 0 when determining the mana value of a card in your graveyard.
  • “Five or more mana values among cards in your graveyard” means there are at least five different mana values among those cards.

    Compleated Proliferate

    Rules

  • A Phyrexian mana symbol contributes 1 toward the mana value of a card, even if life is paid for it. Specifically, Vraska's mana value is always 6.
  • In most cases, the target of Vraska's last loyalty ability will end up with nine poison counters. However, once you calculate what the difference is, replacement effects can change how many poison counters the player actually gets. For example, if the player controls Melira, the Living Cure, they will end up getting one poison counter if they had eight or fewer to begin with.
  • Other replacement effects that would change the number of loyalty counters Vraska enters with will apply as normal.
  • The compleated ability looks only at whether a player chose to pay 2 life for a Phyrexian mana symbol as they were casting the spell. If a player paid life for some other reason while casting the spell, that will not reduce the number of loyalty counters the planeswalker enters the battlefield with.
  • The target of Vraska's second loyalty ability will lose any other subtypes and card types it previously had and will be only a Treasure artifact. It will retain any supertypes it had.
