"Find me cards equivalent to: Pyromancer Ascension"

Equivalent or similar cards to Pyromancer Ascension (Red, Enchantment, cares about instants/sorceries and/or copying spells):
1. Swarm Intelligence — Copies every instant/sorcery you cast. (Enchantment, Blue, but functionally similar)
2. Bonus Round — Red, copies all instant/sorcery spells cast this turn. (Sorcery, not enchantment, but similar effect)
3. Mirari — Colorless, copies your instant/sorceries for a cost. (Artifact, not enchantment, still copies spells)
4. Fiery Emancipation — Red enchantment, doesn't copy spells, but does interact with damage aspects.

For strictly mono-red Enchantments, Pyromancer Ascension is unique in copying spells as an ongoing attribute. Others either are not enchantments or not red.

  • A copy is created even if the spell that caused Bonus Round’s ability to trigger has been countered by the time that ability resolves. The copy resolves before the original spell.
  • Bonus Round’s ability will copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • If the spell that’s copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast, the copy has the same value of X.
  • If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. Its controller can’t choose a different one.
  • The controller of the copy can’t choose to pay any additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy too.
  • The controller of the spell that caused Bonus Round’s ability to trigger also controls the copy.
  • The copy that Bonus Round’s ability creates is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell (like Bonus Round’s ability itself) won’t trigger.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless its controller chooses new ones. That player may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. The new targets must be legal.

    Rules

  • If a creature with trample you control would deal combat damage to a blocking creature while you control Fiery Emancipation, you must assign its unmodified damage. For example, a 3/3 creature with trample blocked by a 2/2 creature can have 2 damage assigned to the blocking creature and 1 damage assigned to the defending player. It will then deal 6 damage to the blocking creature and 3 damage to the defending player.
  • If an effect asks you to divide damage among targets, you must divide the unmodified damage before tripling it.
  • If multiple replacement or prevention effects try to modify damage that would be dealt to a player or permanent, the player or the controller of the permanent chooses the order in which they apply.

  • Everything about the original spell is copied, including any decisions made on announcement, such as whether it was kicked or its Buyback cost was paid. Effects on the spell, such as Sleight of Mind or Flashback, are not copied.
  • If the copied spell requires a target and there are no legal targets, then the copy has the same target (which should be illegal) as the original.
  • If the spell is countered before the triggered ability resolves, then the ability will make a copy of how the spell looked right before it was countered.
  • It triggers once per spell, so you can’t get multiple copies of a spell using this card. And since this card is legendary, you can’t control more than one.
  • The copy is not “cast” so it will not trigger anything that triggers on a spell being cast.
  • You are not required to choose new targets. If you do choose, then the targets must be legal. If you don’t change them, the spell is placed on the stack whether or not the targets are legal. The legality of the targets is always checked on resolution of the spell, so the spell may be countered at that time if all of its targets are illegal.
  • You choose whether or not to pay when the triggered ability resolves.

    Pyromancer Ascension #6 Enchantment

    Rules

  • If Pyromancer Ascension’s first ability triggers, you’ll put a quest counter on it even if the card in your graveyard leaves your graveyard by the time the ability resolves or if the spell you cast is countered.
  • If either of Pyromancer Ascension’s abilities triggers, it will go on the stack on top of the spell that caused it to trigger. The ability will resolve first. If it’s Pyromancer Ascension’s second ability that triggered, the copy it creates will also resolve before the original spell. The copy is created even if the original spell has been countered.
  • If the spell has damage divided as it was cast (like Fiery Justice does), the division can’t be changed (although the targets receiving that damage still can).
  • If the spell that’s copied has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Bonfire of the Damned does), the copy will have the same value of X.
  • If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. A different mode cannot be chosen.
  • If you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard (due to an ability such as flashback, for example), Pyromancer Ascension’s first ability won’t trigger unless another card with the same name is in your graveyard.
  • Pyromancer Ascension’s second ability can copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
  • The second ability triggers only if Pyromancer Ascension already has two quest counters on it at the time you cast an instant or sorcery spell. This means a spell can’t cause the second counter to be put on Pyromancer Ascension and then become copied. It also means a player can’t remove Pyromancer Ascension in response to you casting an instant or sorcery spell in order to prevent the ability from triggering.
  • You can’t choose to pay any alternative or additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any alternative or additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy.
