"Find me cards equivalent to: Roshan, Hidden Magister"
“Roshan, Hidden Magister” (Black, Legendary Creature — Human Assassin) has three key abilities: 1) changes creature types to Assassin, 2) grants menace to face-down creatures, 3) card draw and life loss when turning permanents face up.
Closest black cards with similar attributes:
1. “Xathrid Necromancer”
- Makes Human tokens when non-token Humans die (creature-type synergy).
2. “Marrow-Gnawer” - Turns other Rats into Assassins (tribal modifier).
3. “Grenzo, Dungeon Warden” (Red/Black, but closest for face-down/menace type effects) - Interacts with the bottom of your library, face-down-like effect.
There are no black creatures that grant menace specifically to face-down creatures or trigger exactly on turning permanents face up, like “Roshan, Hidden Magister.” All are thematically adjacent, but the card’s full abilities are unique.
