"Find me cards equivalent to: Seasons Past"

Similar green sorceries that recur cards are:

  • Praetor's Counsel: Return all cards from your graveyard to your hand, exile it.
  • Recall the Past: Return up to X cards from graveyard to hand (less flexible mana values).
  • Regrowth: Return any one card from graveyard to hand (single target, but most classic).
  • Nostalgic Dreams: Discard cards, return equal number from graveyard to hand (conditional).

All these are green (G) sorceries that return cards, like Seasons Past, but may differ in number of cards, exile effects, or reveal/discard costs. None do exactly the same thing as Seasons Past, but these are the closest.

  • If multiple effects modify your hand size, apply them in timestamp order. For example, if you put Null Profusion (an enchantment that says your maximum hand size is two) onto the battlefield and then resolve Praetor's Counsel, you have no maximum hand size. However, if those events happened in the opposite order, your maximum hand size would be two.
  • Later effects that modify your maximum hand size, but don't set it to a specific number, will have no effect.

  • A card with no mana cost, such as a land, has a mana value of 0.
  • If a card in your graveyard has {X} in its mana cost, X is considered to be 0.
  • The phrase "different mana values" compares the mana costs of cards in your graveyard to one another, not to Seasons Past. You may return a card with a mana value of 6.
  • You choose which cards to return as Seasons Past resolves, not as you cast it.
