    Abilities/Keywords

    Flying Lifelink

    Rules

  • Each creature with lifelink dealing combat damage causes a separate life-gaining event. For example, if two creatures you control with lifelink deal combat damage at the same time, the ability will trigger twice. However, if a single creature you control with lifelink deals combat damage to multiple creatures, players, and/or planeswalkers at the same time (perhaps because it has trample or was blocked by more than one creature), the ability will trigger only once.
  • If a creature you control is dealt lethal damage at the same time that you gain life, it won't receive a counter from Archangel of Thune's ability in time to save it.
  • If you gain an amount of life “for each” of something, that life is gained as one event and the ability triggers only once.
  • In a Two-Headed Giant game, life gained by your teammate won't cause the ability to trigger, even though it caused your team's life total to increase.

    Lifelink Trample Vigilance

    Rules

  • If an Aura or Equipment card is put into your graveyard during your main phase and the stack is empty, you have a chance to cast it before any player may attempt to remove that card from your graveyard.
  • If you cast a spell from your graveyard using another permission, Danitha's effect doesn't apply. You can cast another Aura or Equipment spell from your graveyard.
  • If you cast one Aura or Equipment spell from your graveyard and then have a new Danitha come under your control in the same turn, you may cast another Aura or Equipment spell from your graveyard that turn.
  • Once you begin to cast the spell, losing control of Danitha won't affect the spell.
  • You must follow the normal timing permissions and restrictions of the spell you cast from your graveyard.
  • You must pay the costs to cast that spell. If it has an alternative cost, you may cast it for that cost instead.

    Rules

  • Any text on a creature is an ability, even if that text isn't currently applicable (such as a cycling ability of a creature).
  • Because damage remains marked on a creature until the damage is removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a creature with no abilities may become lethal if that creature gains an ability or Muraganda Petroglyphs leaves the battlefield during that turn.
  • If a land with a basic land type becomes a creature, the intrinsic mana ability it has stops Muraganda Petroglyphs from applying to it.
  • If an effect says that an affected creature "has" or "gains" an ability, Muraganda Petroglyphs won't apply to that creature because it has gained an ability. If an effect simply says that something is true of an affected creature (such as "target creature can't be blocked this turn") then that effect isn't causing the creature to gain an ability.

    Rules

  • If an effect instructs you to choose a creature type, you may choose Time Lord.
  • Neither "Time" nor "Lord" are creature types. Some older cards were printed with the subtype "Lord," but all of those cards have updated Oracle card text that removed that type.
  • Unlike other creature types in Magic that are each only one word, the two words "Time Lord" represent a single creature subtype. Time Lord is the only two-word creature type.
