"Find me cards equivalent to: Tunnel Ignus"

Equivalent cards (red, punishes multiple lands per turn):

  • Tunnel Ignus (the original)
  • Roiling Vortex — deals 1 damage if player gained life or plays a spell for free, also 1 damage at each upkeep for everyone (not exactly the same, but similar role in red).
  • Zo-Zu the Punisher — whenever a land enters a player's battlefield, deals 2 damage to that player (punishes all land drops, not just multiples in a turn).
  • Ankh of Mishra (artifact, but red in style) — deals 2 damage to player when they play a land.

Reason: There are no other red creatures with exactly Tunnel Ignus’s trigger, but Zo-Zu and Roiling Vortex are close in effect.

  • If multiple lands an opponent controls enter at the same time, Tunnel Ignus's ability triggers that many times, even if no other lands had entered the battlefield under that player's control earlier in the turn. That's because each ability takes into consideration the other land(s) that entered at the same time as the one that caused it to trigger.
  • Whenever a land an opponent controls enters, this ability triggers only if another land had already entered the battlefield under that opponent's control this turn. It doesn't matter if that other land is still on the battlefield, is still under that player's control, or is still a land.
