"Find me cards equivalent to: Unstable Frontier"

Equivalent cards to Unstable Frontier (colorless land that can change land types):
1. Vesuva – Copies any land on the battlefield as it enters, but does not change types repeatedly.
2. Mirrorpool – Adds {C} and has colorless utility effects, but not land typing.
3. Mystifying Maze – Adds {C}, utility ability but not land type changing.
4. Thespian's Stage – {T}: Add {C}. {2}, {T}: Becomes a copy of target land.

Closest equivalent, especially for colorless decks and land type manipulation is Thespian's Stage, but none exactly duplicate Unstable Frontier's specific land-type-changing effect.

    Rules

  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature will trigger when the token enters the battlefield. Any “as [this permanent] enters the battlefield” or “[this permanent] enters the battlefield with” abilities of the copied creature will also work.
  • For Mirrorpool’s last ability, the token copies exactly what’s printed on the original creature and nothing else (unless that creature is copying something else; see below). It doesn’t copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on.
  • For example, if a token copies a Plains that’s been affected by a spell with awaken, the token will be just a land, even though the object being copied is currently a land creature. The same is true if the land has an ability that animates it.
  • If the copied creature has {X} in its mana cost, X is 0.
  • If the copied creature is copying something else when the ability resolves, then the token enters the battlefield as a copy of whatever that creature is copying.
  • If the copied spell has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Fall of the Titans does), the copy has the same value of X.
  • If the copied spell is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same modes. You can’t choose different ones.
  • Mirrorpool’s third ability can target (and copy) any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
  • The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not cast. Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won’t trigger. The copy will then resolve like a normal spell, after players get a chance to cast spells and activate abilities.
  • The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
  • You can’t choose to pay any additional costs for the copy. However, effects based on any additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy, too. For example, if a player sacrifices a 3/3 creature to cast Fling, and you copy it, the copy of Fling will also deal 3 damage to its target.

  • An “attacking creature” is one that has been declared as an attacker this combat, or one that was put onto the battlefield attacking this combat. Unless that creature leaves combat, it continues to be an attacking creature through the end of combat step, even if the player it was attacking has left the game, or the planeswalker it was attacking has left combat.
  • At the beginning of the next end step, the affected creature is returned to the battlefield even if Mystifying Maze is no longer on the battlefield by then.
  • The targeted creature doesn’t have to be attacking you. It can be attacking a planeswalker, or (in a multiplayer game) it can be attacking another player.

  • A land's copiable values are those printed on it, as modified by other copy effects. Counters and other effects aren't copied. Notably, if you copy a land that is also a creature because of a temporary effect (such as Celestial Colonnade), Thespian's Stage will become just the "unanimated" land.
  • No enters-the-battlefield abilities of the land Thespian's Stage is copying will trigger. Thespian's Stage was already on the battlefield. Similarly, no "as this land enters the battlefield" or "this land enters the battlefield with" effects, such as that of Dark Depths, will apply.
  • The copy effect created by the last activated ability doesn't have a duration. It will last until Thespian's Stage leaves the battlefield or another copy effect overwrites it. The permanent will no longer have the first ability of Thespian's Stage.
  • Thespian's Stage doesn't become untapped when it becomes a copy, even if the target land is untapped.

  • The affected land loses its existing land types and any abilities printed on it. It becomes the chosen basic land type and now has the ability to tap to add one mana of the appropriate color. Unstable Frontier's ability doesn't change the affected land's name or whether it's legendary or basic.
  • You choose a basic land type as the ability resolves.

  • Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied land will trigger if Vesuva is entering the battlefield. Any "As [this land] enters the battlefield" or "[This land] enters the battlefield with" abilities of the copied land will also work.
  • If Vesuva somehow enters the battlefield at the same time as another land, Vesuva can't become a copy of that land. You may choose only a land that's already on the battlefield.
  • If the copied land is copying something else, Vesuva uses the copiable values of that land. In most cases, Vesuva will be a copy of whatever that land is copying.
  • If you don't choose a land on the battlefield, Vesuva enters the battlefield untapped as itself, and will not be able to tap for mana.
  • Vesuva copies exactly what is printed on the land it's copying and nothing else (unless it's copying a land that's copying something else; see below). It doesn't copy whether a land is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras attached to it, or any non-copy effects that changed its types, and so on.
