    Copy

    Rules

  • A copy is created even if the spell that caused the ability to trigger has been countered by the time that ability resolves. The copy resolves before the original spell.
  • If the spell that's copied had damage divided to targets as it was cast, the division can't be changed, although the targets receiving that damage still can. The same is true of spells that distribute counters to targets as it was cast.
  • If the spell that's copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy created by Jin-Gitaxias's first ability will have the same mode or modes. You can't choose different ones.
  • Jin-Gitaxias's last ability triggers once each turn, not once each turn per opponent.
  • The copies that Jin-Gitaxias's first ability creates are created on the stack, so they're not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell won't trigger.
  • You can't choose to pay any additional costs for the copy created by Jin-Gitaxias's first ability. However, effects based on any additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy too.

    Abilities/Keywords

    Landwalk

    Rules

  • If another triggered ability during your upkeep causes you to sacrifice a creature, such as that of Lord of the Pit, you won't be able to target it with Sheoldred's triggered ability as that ability is put on the stack.
  • In a Two-Headed Giant game, the last ability will trigger twice at the beginning of the opposing team's upkeep, once for each player on that team. Each player sacrifices only a creature they control.
  • Swampwalk is a keyword ability that means “This creature can't be blocked if defending player controls a Swamp.” Most nonbasic lands don't have basic land types, even if they produce colored mana. For example, Graven Cairns is neither a Swamp nor a Mountain, while Blood Crypt is both.
  • The opponent whose upkeep it is chooses a creature to sacrifice when Sheoldred's second triggered ability resolves.

    Haste Trample

    Rules

  • If a permanent enters the battlefield with counters on it, the effect causing the permanent to be given counters may specify which player puts those counters on it. If the effect doesn’t specify a player, the object’s controller puts those counters on it.
  • If two or more effects attempt to modify how many counters would be put onto a permanent you control, you choose the order to apply those effects, no matter who controls the sources of those effects.
  • Unlike many similar effects, Vorinclex cares deeply about who is putting the counters on the permanent or player to determine which of its two last abilities applies.

If an opponent would put one or more counters on a permanent or player, they put half that many of each of those kinds of counters on that permanent or player instead, rounded down.
